The location and view are stunning. The new bathroom and the look of the unit are lovely. However the kitchen table and chairs and the upholstery on the furniture are in need of replacement.
Perfectly located on the beach, the view was amazing and we got to see dolphins, pelicans and a couple turtles nests! The condo was clean and had everything we needed.
Once onsite we immediately noticed the building, ground were extremely outdated & not maintained. We walked towards the pool to find it awful & ABSOLUTELY nothing like the photo posted. We entered the "newly" remodeled condo and thought, ok we can deal with it. Until we woke up the next morning to the smell of mold & mildew. I think the cleaning crew from the day prior helped hide the smell. I reached out to Southern Vacation Rentals on day one with pictures of the property & the mold smell to be met with passifying comments.
The experience at this condo, my experience with SVR was horrible!!! Don't stay at Commodores Retreat, this unit or book through Sputhern Vaction Rentals. A full refund should happen!!!
Beautiful location, ease to the beach. The open kitchen and living room were nice, morning coffee on the deck was serene. Nicely updated bathroom and the bed was comfortable. The building/ grounds are older and need some attention as does inside of the condo ( Dusty vents, dirty fabric chairs) But overall we had a great vacation here and I would still definitely recommend renting this condo. The morning walks on the beach for sunrise and evening sunset more than make up some minor imperfections.
This unit is updated, well-equipped and in a nice quiet area. Bldg has an elevator and grocery carts available for loading/unloading. Walkway to beach has an area where beach âstuffâ can be left during the stay so it doesnât have to be brought inside each day. Insulation between floors is not sufficient to keep footsteps from unit above from being heard. In âchecking inâ email the mgmt co did not provide all the characters necessary to open smart lock so that required a call. Also, parking passes were not in unit so that required a second call. Also checkout time is 9am which is earlier than other units in the bldg - again, a mgmt co issue.
