When I reserved I sent a message to hotel requesting late checkout due to me leaving on my bday and wanting to sleep in. They advised of a $20 per hour charge which I agreed to. When I checked in on 10/9 the front desk(she was so friendly and very busy. I was confused to why she was alone with a full line and I could hear other employees in the back room chitchatting). She also acknowledged the 2 hour late checkout on 10/10. I went about my evening to celebrate my 37th birthday then was ABRUPTLY woken up at 11am with BANGING on the door then precepts try to walk in without even giving 5 seconds for me to get to the door. Luckily I had the top lock and they couldn’t walk in on us. She then was yelling “check out is at 11”. I told them I had requested the late checkout and she just left. The phone then rang and it was the front desk who had a defensive tone. I went to the front desk and I was quite frustrated as my BF has epilepsy and a situation like this could have brought on a seizure to him. She then seemed to have a bit more compassion when I told her this and she did offer to only charge 1 hour for the miscommunication. I had been sooo excited and wanting to check this place out for awhile but with this experience I don’t know if I would ever go back. A relaxing birthday morning turned into me feeling rushed and not enjoying the time.
