Our room smelled like musty mold. I had to spray my bathroom spray to make the room tolerable. The room’s furniture was very worn. There was mold in the bathroom and the hairdryer was ancient and did not work. I mean the outlet right next to the sink was not GFI either which is dangerous. The pillows were so bad and gross that I went and bought my own. If my brothers had not also booked a room here I would have left. The door looked like someone had kicked it in. The walls were dirty and had dings in them. The pool area was ok. Our room neighbor was smoking pot right outside our door and made our whole room smell like what he was smoking. The nightstand drawer smelled like pot when we opened it, I wish I had spent the extra money and stayed at the Inn on the beach. This place is also not a close walk to downtown. The cafe attached to the hotel was good. It had to be run by different people because it was clean and decorated cute.

I have stayed in two of the other budget friendly accommodations in the neighborhood, and this one is definitely a better choice. NOTE: I don't think it's prudent to give 5 stars to a discount motel... Achieving 4 is impressive in itself. The staff was friendly and attentive. You know these people are doing the best they can with what they have. The room was clean and even the floors we're clean enough to barefoot. The usual coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave were present, and two queen beds were above the standard of what one might expect. Of six pillows on the two beds, I managed to find three that fit my needs. It was quiet and I did not hear any noise from adjacent rooms which were both occupied. The console air conditioner was not as loud as I expected and still kept the room cool. The pool area looked very nice but I did not get a chance to use it. The place could use some landscaping.

I would like a full refund. I checked in. Came back and there were cickroaches on my toothbrush and all over the bathroom and the AC was not working. I left and the desk person offered me another room but i was so creeped out i could not stay there. They offered only excuses. Pleas refund.

Upon checking in, they asked about pets, I told them no pets, then they cleaning our room and found dog hair in the bed, finally i said, go look for yourself! It came from a blanket i had brought From home. Anyway, the room was clean but bathroom window opening handle was broken. He put a rock on the outside to keep ot closed but wouldn't have stopped anyone from going through the window! Would i stay again? Probably not, was the rate goid, yes, the rate was good and the pool was clean with a cute outdoor sitting area...outside of the motel, not so pretty!

The room was very clean, however the bathroom widow didn't shut or open, the ac didn't really function making the room hot and uncomfortable at night. On our second night my sister woke up to a bug crawling on her hand, which upset her.
