Good prices, but needs better cleaning

I stayed with my wife and daughter. Overall the stay was so-so. The hallway, elevators and rooms needed a little better cleaning. My initial room was missing curtains and so they moved me to another room. A light bulb was burnt, but the staff was pleasant and they gave one to me right away. The price was good compared to other hotels close to Savannah.

Hotel needs to work on upgrading rooms, bathroom shower head was leaking causing water damage to bathroom door. Door was warped. Shower curtain was cheap and water flooded the floor. Toilet bowl handle was broken. Staff did offer another room but that was next to barking dogs !! No thanks . I would recommend staying at another place in the area for the price.

While the hotel was clean I booked it because the Property said it had a pool which is the reason I chose it then get here and its sanding up Manager just had excuses why it has not been updated on the website Deseptive advertising was very disappointed at holiday inn/IHG

When I checked in and went to the first room the bed was turned down and used towels in the bathroom as if someone had already been in the room. They gave me a second room where the shades wouldn't go down that overlooked the parking lot. The third room a staff member walked me up and there was someone sleeping in the bed. She asked me to wait because she had a line. I waited a few minutes and got back in the line because it was growing. Checked into the 4th room and it was fine. This took over an hour between the time I got there to the time I was able to get a room. They only gave me a $50 discount for the inconvenience.

Dint like the staff service, i checked in on Friday evening and during Friday night i realized the Microwave is not working so i called front desk to see if microwave can get replaced immediately. the lady told me to wait till morning time around 7:30 by when Maintenance guy would come. Next day morning around 9AM i called and i got the same response that Maintenance guy has not come yet. i mean common, you are running biggest hotel chain and you don't have maintenance staff??? In Frustration i said, if i dont see maintenance guy in next 15 mins, will take out microwave and submit to front desk. Only after that someone from maintenance team came and replaced the microwave. We were in Savannah only for two days and booked the best hotel still encountered poor staff who were not that attentive. Would not recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to enjoy peaceful hotel stay.
