Had a great family vacation. House was very spacious and clean. My family had a great time playing games in the basement. My 4 star rating is because the temperature of the house was 77-79 degrees every afternoon. The afternoon sun coming in through the large windows made the upstairs quite uncomfortable. The windows are gorgeous, but having blides or shades would've really helped.

Wedding weekend

We absolutely loved this cabin! We hosted a small wedding for our daughter, and it was perfect for the occasion. Even though the storms kept us from having it outside, everything still turned out great. The check in process was very easy. The cabin was super clean. There’s more than enough room for a big family. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Beautiful Cabin

Beautiful cabin and very spacious! If you are thinking about booking don’t let this one pass by! The only thing I would say about this is they need a bigger water heater or a tankless water heater for endless hot water. They have a 50g tank and when my husband and I would turn on the water for the hot tub in the bathroom the hot water ran out very quickly and would have to wait some time for the hot water to come back before being able to shower. Definitely would book this again and bring my whole family!!!

Christmas at Cozy Cabin

We had 8 adults and 4 children (12-19) and there was room for all. We have stayed in several cabins during Christmas over the years and this one has the most amazing view of Barren River Lake. We enjoyed drinking our coffee and eating breakfast looking out over the lake. There was plenty of room for everyone and an awesome place for the kids on the lower level with lots of different activities for them and the adults to have challenges (pool table, ping pong table, hockey table and more). We loved the kitchen as it had lots of room for several to be preparing meals at the same time. The laundry was convenient on the main level and the half bath on the main level was also convenient. All the bathrooms were spacious with plenty of towels for all. And the hot tub was a big hit! I could go on and on. You just need to check it out for yourself. The weather was pretty nice and we were able to sit outside several times. I can just imagine what it would be like during the summer time! You can't go wrong with this Cozy Cabin and the owners were so nice and responsive to our questions. Five stars are not enough!

An incredible view and house!

I would consider us somewhat connoisseurs of vacation home properties given that we have three kids. We visited Jane's property as a group of two families with a total of five adults and five children between ages of 7 and 13. I can say that there is plenty of space for everybody to have their own personal bed as well as abundance of private bathroom so we are we're not all sharing. The view of the lake is absolutely incredible. For the older boys they were able to scale the cliff down to the lake for fishing but not advise that for some of the younger children. Kitchen is well stocked and I was able to easily cook several meals and breakfast. Mammoth Caves was a 45 minute drive which is just fine for us to be able to get a property large enough and comfortable enough for our group. Jane went out of her way to answer any questions I had and provide some recommendations before and during our stay. This is not a sterile, company-run vacation property at all that leaves you with the bare minimum in supplies and comfort! The house felt like a home away from home.

Perfect Ladies Retreat Setting

Book this cabin! Me and 8 of my friends booked this cabin for a Ladies Retreat. We did not leave the cabin at all, except for our morning walks down the county road that the cabin is located on. (There is a Dollar General at the end of the road if you need supplies) We brought groceries for all of our meals and the kitchen is large enough for multiple cooks to be in the kitchen at the Same time and all the pots, pans, dishes, mugs, ect that our large group needed. The living room was perfect and we enjoyed the gas logs at night during our devotion time. Our favorite part of the cabin is the large deck off the back of the house with ample seating for everyone and the gas fire pit! We just loved everything about this cabin and highly recommend it!

Our immediate family enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Even though we had rain everyday we were there the cabin provided entertainment and eating areas to accommodate. Everyone enjoyed the space the cabin had to offer.

Family trip

This is the nicest cabin we’ve ever stayed in. It is very clean and stocked with everything you could need. The view is very nice as well. My only caveat is if you are bringing a boat, just know parking is limited. We did manage to fit a truck pulling a boat along with 3 other cars but that’s the max. It worked for us but just beware how many guests you invite. Still, it’s a 5 star!

Great place for a group!

We had a family group of 14, 6 adults and 8 children 2-12. There was plenty of space for everyone and the kids had plenty to do. The game room is a nice area and there really is something for everyone. The state park nearby has a nice free, public beach and the nearby attractions are easy to get to. The vaulted ceiling does make it a bit hard to watch tv on both levels, but that wasn’t why we went, so didn’t matter a lot to us. Very nice spot and so nice to not have to eat out for every meal.

Great Cabin

Cabin was in a great location and clean. Game room was a big hit with the kids. Short distance to Mammoth cave, but a beautiful scenic drive to get there. While there is not direct lake access there are lots of swimming and fishing spots close by (5 minutes away from the cabin is a free public beach for swimming and fishing- it’s located by the dam and the view is amazing). We had 10 people in our group and had plenty of room. Highly recommend staying here! Communication was great and the detailed information given about the area was incredibly helpful!
