Willkommen zu Ihrem nĂ€chsten Kurzurlaub am Ozean in Oregon! Eine umfangreiche Umgestaltung und ErgĂ€nzung macht es perfekt fĂŒr große Gruppen und Exerzitien, mit ca. 4800 Quadratmetern FlĂ€che, 6 Schlafzimmern und eingebauten Craftsman-Kojen im Theaterraum. Es liegt auf einem Morgen mit 180 Fuß Front direkt am Pazifischen Ozean. Sie werden keinen besseren Zugang zum Strand finden - Ihre eigenen Betontreppen, bis in den Sand! Beobachten Sie Ihre Kinder bequem von innen oder von der Terrasse aus. Von der HintertĂŒr aus dauert es nur 20 Sekunden, um die Gezeitenpools zu erkunden und im Sand zu spielen.

Einer der einzigartigsten Aspekte unseres Hauses ist, dass es viele verschiedene Bereiche zum Sammeln gibt. Es gibt eine Bibliothek mit TaschentĂŒren fĂŒr einen ruhigen Zufluchtsort mit 2 Ledersesseln, Ledercouchen und einem großen Couchtisch. Es gibt einen langen Essbereich mit großen Tischen (die auseinandergebrochen werden können) zum Essen, Spielen, RĂ€tseln und vielem mehr. Es gibt ein großes Familienzimmer mit elektrischem Kamin, bequemen Ledersofas und Ottomanen, Ledersesseln und vielen gemĂŒtlichen Decken, mit denen Sie es sich bequem machen können. Neben dem Familienzimmer befindet sich eine Bar mit Waschbecken, in der Sie Wein aufbewahren, Cocktails mischen und hĂŒbsche Flaschen ausstellen können. Der Theaterraum mit drei Sitzreihen eignet sich zum Ansehen von Filmen, Netflix oder zum Spielen von Videospielen auf dem großen HD-Flachbildfernseher. Es gibt einen zusĂ€tzlichen Raum, den Medienraum, in dem sich eine Wii-Konsole und Controller befinden. Insgesamt gibt es in unserem Haus 8 HD-Flachbildfernseher. Der Whirlpool am Meer ist auch ein schöner Ort zum Sammeln sowie die Feuerstelle auf der Terrasse, die von vielen Adirondack-StĂŒhlen umgeben ist.

Als letzte Anmerkung gibt es 2 WaschrĂ€ume, die jeweils mit einer Waschmaschine und einem Trockner ausgestattet sind. Such a great venue for celebrating our parents 80th birthdays! Amazing beach access. Terrific kitchen and dining area large enough for large group gathering. Nice proximity to Newport.

Lacking in Certain Aspects

The ocean view from the back of this house is lovely, but access to the beach is somewhat difficult as part of the steep set of steps has no railing. The seniors in our group opted not to go down to the beach, and even the young people found the steps challenging. The front of the house is quite close to the road, so traffic noise was a problem in two of the bedrooms. For a luxury rental, we were surprised to have a bedroom dresser with missing drawer pulls and most of the showers with neither a shelf or ledge to put soap and shampoo on; for a senior, picking up a bar of soap from the floor can be problematic. And, no grab bars in the showers were also a disappointment. The kitchen stools are uncomfortable metal, and some of the seating is very low to the ground. All in all, this house seems best suited for large groups of young people and certainly not for seniors or anyone with mobility issues.

We love love love staying at the Rock!

This was our second time staying at the Rock for a work retreat. We had 15 women but not everyone stayed all three nights. The kitchen is gorgeous. We love that the table seated all of us. The location is great. Close to Newport and literally ON the beach. Beds were comfy. Bathrooms were all well appointed. We enjoyed watching a movie one night in the media room. And the fire pit and hot tub outside were a great treat. We had two issues but the property management company was quickly responsive. First, upon arrival, one coworker took a bath in the upstairs south bathroom which caused a leak in the downstairs laundry room. As soon as figured out the issue, we just didn’t use that tub any longer. Secondly, we planned rooms and beds carefully because of strong personal preferences about sharing rooms and/or beds. Unfortunately, the listing was out of date. We were expecting a set of bunk beds in a small room next to a bedroom on the first floor. Much to our surprise the bunkbed had been removed so ultimately we were short two twin beds. The property management brought us extra bedding the next day and we made it work on couches. Not the greatest situation but we managed. Also, the number of laundry rooms isn’t accurate in the listing. We expected two laundry rooms each with a washer & dryer. However, the laundry located next to the front door was locked. Not a huge deal just wasn’t what we expected. Despite the few issues, we love the Rock and plan to stay there again!

This is the second time our family and friends have enjoyed our stay at 'The Rock' at Seal Rock. It is a beautiful home that is big enough for a large group, but still cozy and inviting. We had everything we needed for our trip. Of course, it was a special treat when we spotted whales!

Great energy!

Twelve amazing women friends recently stayed for a long getaway weekend, and we loved it. The house offers enough variety of spaces so we could all gather together or find a bit of space away from the big group. Access to the beach is right there for the adventurers, but a wide view of the ocean was front and center for those who chose to stay in. For many of us, this was our second stay at The Rock, and we came back for a lot of the same reasons. As the reservation person, I appreciated communication with the host for payment and instructions. The Rock does not disappoint!

Perfection!

This is a stunning property. We have stayed in many vacation homes over the years, and this ranks in the top tier! The home is spacious and well-appointed. The kitchen has everything that we needed. The views are superb, and the beach access with concrete stairs and a sturdy metal railing are safe and secure — a rare thing along the coast. We look forward to a future stay!

90th Birthday Celebration at the Rock

Ten family members, including eight adults and two children, celebrated our mother’s 90th birthday at the Rock. The property is marvelous. We had everything we needed, and the location is fabulous with a short stairway from the patio to a wonderful beach. Several of us are runners, and we could get five miles of beach running in easily by going south to Seal Rock and north a long way on flat, wide beach. The fire pit on the patio is excellent, the sea view bedrooms, both on ground level and loft level, are amazing, and the kitchen/dining room and table are perfect for family celebration. The kitchen lights and coffee nook electricity did not work, but there is so much light from the grand sea view windows that lights are not needed during the day. We could not locate any cooking vents, the lack of which caused the smoke alarm to activate once early in the morning. But aside from those small flaws, this is an absolutely perfect treat of a beach property, just a stone’s throw from Newport to the north and Waldport to the south.

Wonderful for 3 generations

We stayed for our annual family gathering, 6 adults, 5 kids and it was a wonderful stay. Everything we needed was there and well organized. It was clean, quiet, easy access to the beach, but not so close we had to worry about a 4 year old escaping! We all absolutely loved it. Comfortable beds, lots of comfy blankets for naps and plenty of room in the kitchen for multiple people to fix meals. Worth every penny.

Sea Side Getaway

Very good! Beautiful place - loved the ocean views. Loved the well supplied kitchen - made cooking there easy! We were there with our 5 children (all over 50) and several of their spouses. Our only concerns were that the 1) fan behind the stove didn't work. 2) There are no screens on our bedroom door (Low Tide) which we kept open at night.. And 3) the bed was so high that we borrowed the hot-tub step stool in order to get into the bed. We loved our special time there and hope to return next year! Thank you for a fantastic vacation!

This is location/home is wonderful

We had the opportunity to stay for 7 nights. The home is set up with room to spare. It has a wonderful view and is close to the beach. We spent hours on the beach in the morning, visited light houses - explored tide pools - 4wheeled on sand dunes - or visited the local towns in the afternoon, and finished the day with a fire on the patio. This location was central to crabbing, hiking trails, and the New Port Aquarium. We used the theater for movie night, and the hot tub was wonderful to warm up in after playing in the water. This is a great place!

Fabulous family retreat . . . Again

The Rock has become a family favorite for us. Our three generation family (ages 5-63) stayed here for a third time, and the vote is to return again! The tide pools at low tide, the beach (accessed by a flight of stairs), the hot tub, puzzles in the library, and the variety of spaces for quiet time in small groups in addition to large group time in the kitchen/dining/great room area helps everyone to relax and enjoy the time together. Totally worth the longer drive, with a never crowded sandy expanse. We incorporate a trip to the Oregon Coast Aquarium each time we visit (a 15 minute drive away). Overall a wonderful space for bonding and relaxing. Highly recommend!!!

What a PERFECT week!

We brought our three adult kids, their spouses, and four children (ages 4–12) for a vacation on the beautiful Oregon coast. The house was nearly perfect: immaculate, beautiful, well-stocked, and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone. We all hated to leave, and would go back in a heartbeat! The ONLY possible “con” in the sea of “pro’s” is the lack of screens in the windows. With no a/c (which isn’t necessary here), we were told to open the windows to let the evening breezes cool the house down—but there weren’t screens on any of the sliding doors, or many of the bedroom windows. Bugs weren’t too much of a problem, but we were uneasy about leaving doors/windows open all night with no screens. (We did get a few flies—& one chipmunk!—so screens would have been a great feature.) Other than that, there is nothing to be improved here; it is a lovely home in the most gorgeous location. ‘Close enough to several towns and activities, but we spent most of our time on site, exploring and enjoying the wide, wild, breathtaking beach and tide pools. Thank you for the perfect setting for our family vacation—Wonderful memories were made here!

Great stay!

Wonderful time for our family get together (two couples, 1 grandparent, 5 kids). Easy beach access made short beach trips for exploring and then warming up very easy for 1.5yo, 4yo, 7 and 10 year old. The space was well divided for our families. High chair, baby gates for stairs, packnplay, and sand toys were all appreciated for the kids and in good shape. Kitchen had everything we needed. We do wish there had been some easier way to rinse off feet after beach walks (the hose control is tucked back behind the hot tub), and all of the lights in the bunk room beds were broken, but other than those minor things the house was perfect and we are already planning a return visit next year. Pure Heaven

This was the perfect house for us to celebrate a milestone birthday with extended family. It was the most well equipped VRBO property I have stayed in and we cannot wait to come back. It is a great location for storm watching in the winter as well as summertime fun.

Great for families

We had our 3 adult children and spouses. 6 grandchildren 12 to 20 and my husband and myself. Plenty of room, great kitchen. Great beach access. Everyone was happy here!

Lots of space and right on the beach

Easy access to beach. House was pretty clean but there were huge ants in some of the bedrooms. Issues getting the front door to unlock but someone came out quickly to help open. House was very private and accommodating for our group.

Does not disappoint!!

This is our family's second stay at The Rock. Our grandchildren, ages 2-9, were so excited to be able to return here. The house works perfectly for the 14 of us, with each family "owning" a zone in the home. The quick trip down the stairs to the beach is ideal, and we have had great times at the tide pools nearby. The views from the windows can't be beat. Kitchen is well equipped and easy for large group meal prep. We will return again, such an amazing property. Well worth the longer drive from the east metro area. Highly recommend!
