We LOVED the view of the beach and ocean. We paid $20 for early check in. We asked if the room was ready, the hotel clerk said "yes"! We had paid $45 for an upgrade ... from WHAT??? We (two disabled senior women) moved our cart FULL of our belongings to our room. Settling in, we found LOTS of problems. We did not have the strength to move everything again. The room was DIRTY, carpet not vacuumed, found a polaroid picture taken of a girl in the room ... sometime before us. Stove top, oven,(did not use) kitchen floor disgusting, carpet laid over hole in floor ... tripping hazard. Had planned on an Epsom salt bath ... no way we would get in that tub! We put a bathmat on the bottom and showered. I have spent a RIDICULOUS amount of time trying to contact the hotel with no luck. Many different phone numbers given to me by There is NOT a LIVE person to speak to. One person that answered hung up on me as soon as I mentioned a complaint. His name was Hector. I would HIGHLY recommend NOT STAYING AT PROMENADE INN & SUITES OCEANFRONT SEASIDE o Oregon. We are going to have to make a road trip to talk to someone. I personally spoke to a girl when checking out and gave her a list of complaints. She said someone would call. It's been a week ... haven't heard a word. Very disrepectful.

Traveling solo, just be careful.

So I will start with the Pros because it was a great stay overall and I will return. Great location, front desk staff was amazing! Cons - honestly I felt unsafe getting to my 5th floor room. The hallway was dark. I didn't realize my room was booked in between 2 other adjoining rooms and the parties in both rooms were together because they kept going from one room to the next. Traveling alone, I wish I would have known about this. I ended up having doordash dinner because I was afraid to leave at after dark. Throughout the stay one of the rooms kept knocking on my adjoining door, both late at night and early in the morning. Place was pretty run down, dishwasher didn't work, toilet was clogged when we got there, and there was something on the ceiling that honestly looked like dried blood. Also there was no latch lock on the door - 1/2 of it had been removed which was unsettling. Again the location was everything & the view was spectacular! I will return but now I feel I have more knowledge and will plan my days (and nights) accordingly.

Ocean view was priceless. Fireplace was good. Mo's restaurant, which we like, is conveniently downstairs. Hotel room price was reasonable. Very close to shopping. Location was perfect. There are maintenance issues in the room such as moisture in the glass sliding door on both sides and one side is difficult to see through. The room does not appear to have been refreshed or updated for quite some time. There are other deferred maintenance issues outside the room. The room and hotel has a lot of potential.

The patio door didn’t want to open. The mirror on the closet was cracked. There was a hole in the counter where the dishwasher was supposed to be. The fireplace didn’t work. The room was clean and the weather was wonderful.
