For what i paid, i expected better. No breakfast, the rooftop view was limited, homeless all over the street in front of the hotel. Honestly, a neighborhood ill never visit again. When in Seattle, choose wisely. I won't be back to this hotel.

Not as nice as it was

After several years of staying at the Mediterranean (since Summer 2021), we realized it was no longer a good choice because of the neighborhood. Half a block down Republican on the way to 1st Avenue West, there’s an alleyway where we witnessed several homeless people dumpster diving. On Queen Anne Avenue too the downtrodden of the earth are in plain view. It’s just not what we want to see when we walk out of a hotel that charges upwards of $230 a night. Also, we weren’t given our free sparkling wine on check in. I didn’t remark on it and was waiting for it to be offered, but the man who checked us in was a bit cranky to boot. On the plus side, the Starbucks adjacent to the hotel opens at 5am and they have the nicest staff, friendly even at 5:30am!

This hotel has no cigarette dispensers around. Even though you can't smoke around the property, there should be somewhere people can put their butts, just not on the ground.

It’s an older building. It’s been renovated but furniture in lobby shows wear and tear. Hallways are older to room with old doors but the rooms are renovated. The bathroom in our room was nicely done although unfortunately the shower or sink was leaking badly. So water was all over the floor every time we had a shower or used the sink. Our room was not facing anything but the windows of the other side of the hotel so the view was a disappointment. The bed was comfortable and clean. Nice water and coffee in the lobby. Staff are wonderful. Outside the hotel is older part of town. Unfortunately see (sadly) homeless people and graffiti and mess here and there. It was safe to walk. We went to a good diner for lunch.
