The unit is decent for the location, but it has several flaws that could be improved. The door does not lock, there is no microwave, and the shower setup is awkward. The towel rack fell off, and I found items left behind by a previous renter in a drawer, which made it feel like the unit wasn't thoroughly cleaned after checkout. The host did not respond to my message, and communication was lacking.Noise is also an issue—you can clearly hear the upstairs renters walking, talking, and... other activities. The unit only has a space heater, so be prepared to be cold for a while until it warms up. Additionally, the fridge and freezer were dirty. One of the biggest concerns was a large window with no curtain, leaving the unit completely exposed to anyone passing by outside. I tried using a blanket for privacy, but it wouldn’t stay up.That said, there are positives. The bed was comfortable, the location was fantastic and very walkable, and the unit was well-stocked with plenty of pots, pans, and silverware. There is ample storage, and it’s dog-friendly, which is a plus.Overall, small improvements could make a big difference in the experience. I believe hosts should consider staying in their own units for a week to truly understand what renters go through.
