We really enjoyed our time at Seaview! The location was perfect and close to the towns. We enjoyed the Ilwaco Saturday market, walks on the beach and the house! It was plenty big for our group of 8 and 3 dogs. There were so many fun quirks including a special surprise in the downstairs bathroom closet :)
We used the Seaview as our base for gathering our family together in order to say goodbye to a loved one. The house had plenty of space , but those spaces are in deep need of repair. I understand that it is an old house, seen some years, but it really does need to be maintained better.
This house is AMAZING. We've stayed at Seaview Manor twice now with a large group - adults and kids under 4. The house itself is gorgeous and beautifully restored. There are enough gathering spaces so it never felt crowded. We loved the big dining room table, the fireplace seating area, the well-appointed kitchen, and the Christmas decorations. The kids also loved the extra wide carpeted upstairs hallway, the sleigh, and the downstairs box of toys. There is a private path to the beach (about a 10 minute walk), and also access to the the Long Beach paved multi-use trail which runs the length of the island. It's a fun and easy bike ride up to Cape Disappointment State Park and the lighthouses there. The house was sparkling clean when we arrived and Erica is responsive to all messages. We love this house!
We stayed at this beautiful old house for a family gathering of siblings from around the US. We loved the large size of the house, lots of seating, huge dining table, very comfy beds, and beautiful views. The house was built in 1906 so it has beautiful character but also is, well, old. Owner is very nice and responsive. Also, hot tub is fantastic. Our dogs loved the property but beware of prickly burrs in the grass.
Very Nice property. Spacious house. A little farther away from beach then I thought it would be. Comfortable beds and pillows. Itâs an old historic house and owners are trying yo be true to its history. Having said that I do believe that they could update the kitchen somewhat and still keep to its history. Opening the old kitchen drawers was very difficult. Fantastic amount of dishes to choose from and the needed appliances were available. What the kitchen does lack is cabinets for food storage. Very nice feature was having two refrigerators. Great hot tub and hammock on grounds to relax in. Bicycles were also very fun to have available.
We had an amazing stay at Seaview Manor. The beds were comfortable, the large dining room was very convenient for meals, the kitchen is stocked with practically every dish and appliance you could need for cooking for a crowd. Everyone had a wonderful time and the owner was great to work with and kind and friendly.
This house was amazing for our wedding event. They helped to make everything run smoothly and took all the stress away about how to transition from ceremony to reception. I appreciated their help and knowledge very much and highly recommend this place to anyone interested in a beautiful, comfortable, and fun place for any type of event from a couples trip, wedding, to a friends or family reunion.
Want to live out your Hamptons fantasy on the west coast? Want a huge manor house that can accommodate a dozen people yet still have plenty of private space? Want little secret doorways and surprises? If not, I don't know who you are, but you're missing out. This was, maybe, the most memorable Vrbo experience of my life. The hosts were amazingly accommodating and, as I've alluded to, the place was incredible. 11/10.
We enjoyed it. Large group of 10 friends. Roomy with a lot of character. Nicely furnished and well maintained.
Plenty of dishes!
Decorated for the holidays.
Heating was difficult maintain heat downstairs. We relied on the gas fireplace.
Location was great for the beach and Cape Disappointment State Park.
We all would stay again!
Lovely older historical home. Well appointed kitchen which was perfect for our family gathering. Great owners- very helpful with issues regarding internet. The floors and surfaces could have been cleaned better- not sure there was enough time between guests possibly?
The place was beautiful with lots of cool features, and perfect for a large group. We had a good time sitting on the porch, or in front of the fire in the large living room. We did a crab boil and the long dining table was great for that. There were spaces that people could have privacy, or join the group for games. Whatever you needed, it was provided. Thank you for allowing us to stay. We will definitely be back.
This old house has an abundance of charm inside and out. The property is gorgeous and private. Sitting on the deck in the rocking chair and soaking up the morning sunshine was one of the most peaceful moments. The large sitting room was perfect for gathering and socializing. The bar was great for making drinks. Beds were super comfortable and the overall atmosphere of this place was perfect and cozy. I would welcome staying here again.
Our two families stayed here for the annual Labor Day getaway. We noticed that as soon as you walk into Seaview Manor, you start to feel relaxed and this continued for the whole stay. There was 8 in our group and it felt like there was room to gather around for a nice dinner or game of cards and also space to take some time to be by yourself. The hosts have clearly paid attention to all the details to make guests feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Seaview Manor .
It was perfect/amazing- we so enjoyed the place, perfect for a large group. We had family from 4 different states and Canada. Love the house. We even had a toddlerâ€ïž-
House was amazing! They've kept the charm of this old home. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen had everything you might need for making meals. Would easily recommend this home to other's planning a get together for a group.
The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything I needed...the kids didnt want to leave..we will be back!!! Erica was very helpful and super friendly..
There is so much to say about this wonderful property. However, I will focus on a couple important elements we found on this trip. First, you have the history and charm of the home/surrounding property. Next, you have the present day amenities you would find in your own home. The location was great because you are in the midst of calm and can venture out into the bustle. It was a sad day when we had to leave.
Great place to host an event. Plenty of room and accommodations for a large party. Catered to children and adults in all ways. Beautiful and maintained property with access to the beach and trail. Comfortable beds and furniture.
We had driven by this enormous and gracious mansion many times and always wondered what it was like inside. Now itâs a VRBO, and it was the perfect solution for our two families that needed a place to stay for a weekend as we celebrated the life of an amazing family member. The house was exactly as advertised - an enormous and beautifully appointed Great House, like Newport Rhode Island meets the less formal Washington coast. Kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Bedrooms were lovely and plentiful. Living room is big enough for a basketball game. So many wonderful features, nooks, and artifacts. It really transports you to a different time and a different sensibility. We were so busy with the memorial activities that we didnât explore the grounds, walk the dunes, ride the bikes, play the board games, do the puzzles, and really immerse ourselves in this fabulous property. But we will definitely be back. Itâs a fabulous place.
Our family celebrated Thanksgiving at this mansion. It was an amazing house, amazing property with a great trail straight out to the beach. No problems at all and our whole family was impressed! Comfortable rooms/beds, everything we needed in the kitchen for a holiday meal and even though it is so huge it still felt cozy with the indoor and outdoor fireplaces (indoor gas but HUGE and outdoor fire pit). It fit everyone perfectly and we even had amazing weather! We will be back someday!
This was the perfect house for a family of 12. Being able to have a camp fire every night was enjoyable. The large dinning table was great. For the first time we were able to sit together. We are hoping to return in 2023.
