My husband and myself always come to the Sebastian area for our wedding anniversary. We love the area and we wanted to try a different home this time. The cottage was charming and the dock is definitely newer. We spent a lot of time outside fishing on the dock. My sister came to stay for a night and she loved the dock as well. Saw lots of wildlife like dolphins, manatees, tarpon, catfish, and sharks. The train tracks are close but I used to live pretty close to train tracks and the noise doesn't bother me or my husband. We all loved the screened in patio off the back of the house. A great place to stay!
Everything in the description is right on - beautifully redecorated, comfortable, clean and with a beautiful view. What is missing is the description included in the Riverfront Retreat and Riverfront Luxury Hideaway (two other properties sharing the grounds) - "The property is located immediately adjacent to the Florida East Coast Railway. There is potential for noise all hours of the day and night. The average number of trains per day can vary greatly based on needs, however, we can speculate that 4-6 trains per 24 hours is about the average." It also fails to mention the Brightline trains which pass 32 times per day (per the Brightline website). While these are very quick and less noisy than the freight trains, they do disturb the tranquility of the property and that is a shame.
I absolutely love this place so beautiful there I stayed in the big house last year and we decided to stay in the cottage it was so nice everything was just how we like it the dock was close didn't have to walk far had good fishing we will be back next year thank you
A relaxing riverfront, pet friendly get-a-way. The cottage was newly renovated while keeping its old Florida charm. The highlight was the screened in back porch which is direct riverfront. We enjoyed watching dolphin, sharks, birds and even a manatee while relaxing on the porch. Excellent host!
