Only issues I see - room is very small and the checkout time is 10AM. This is the earliest checkout time I ever heard of. If you can manage a small room and want to leave early - this is a decent choice for a budget hotel.

Great help, not so great staff at the reception

I always stay at Toyoko Inn Gangnam because it’s the one closest to my workplace. I stay here for a couple of days about 3 to 4 times a year. Everything is great about this hotel, except for the staff. Most of the receptionists (especially the one with the mid-length bob) are not friendly at all. They don’t seem to be enjoying their job at all. I never gave a review of this hotel before, but during my last stay, the receptionists were tad bit meaner than the usual. A guest needed help with the vending machine. She politely asked help from the two ladies at the reception, but none of them left the counter to help her. Mind you, there were no guests checking in or out at that time because it was already late. One of the receptionists just yelled some instructions to the lady needing help with the vending machine. I felt terrible for her.

Comfortable bed and very clean. Close to Gangnam Station. Staff advised us of best option to meet a day tour at closest pick ip point. Substantial and tasty buffet breakfast. Freely available coffee, tea, toiletries and even pyjamas in lift lobby to take to rooms.not far from beautiful Bongeungsa Temple.
