Located in downtown Setúbal, just 80 metres from the City Hall and 2 minutes away from the famous Bocage Square, the Sado Blue City&River Flats offer fully equipped, self-catered luxurious apartments with air conditioning.
The apartments stay at a few minutes walking from the city´s historical ex-libris such as the Praça do Bocage, the Monastery of Jesus, the Avenida Luísa Todi, the fish and vegetable Market, amongst others. The beautiful and unique Sado river and Arrábida Mountain view are only at a mere 10 min. walk.
Galapinhos is a charming and bright apartment located on the 1st floor that includes a double bedroom with closet, a living room with double sofa-bed, kitchen and bathroom with shower. The double bed can be converted into two twin beds.
The apartment has all amenities which include air conditioner, flat screen tv, hair dryer, mixer, toiletries, bed linen, towels, amongst others. Wi-fi is available for free. Baby cot is also available on request.
There is no elevator in the building, so the access to the apartment is via stairs.
Easy access to all public transports such as buses and taxis and very close to the central bus station.

It is in the downtown area that one can find much of the traditional trading, there are stores for every taste. But the downtown does not live solely of commerce as culture peeks around every turn.
Practically all the downtown streets converge to Praça do Bocage, one of the key meeting points of the people of Setúbal and those visiting the city. The Bocage Square is stage for several esplanades, dedicated to one of the greatest figures of Portuguese poetry. Also, in this square is where you´ll find the Municipal Town Hall. The statue of the poet Bocage, with his eyes fixed on the sea, is the landmark of the busiest square in the City.
Right up ahead, we highlight the main avenue of the city, dedicated to Luísa Todi, born in Setúbal and recognized as one of the greatest names ever in lyric singing. In this avenue guests will find several restaurants, supermarkets, lovely kiosks and esplanades and the famous Fish Market, which deserves a special visit.

Just off the busy and bustling city the Arrábida mountain lurks, with its breath-taking views, spectacular beaches and unique fauna and flora. Figueirinha, Galápos, Galapinhos, Portinho da Arrábida and Creiro are but a few of the magnificent beaches where guests can enjoy sunbathing and clear blue water.

The church of the Monastery of Jesus, built between 1490 and 1510, is one of citiy´s ex-libris and a very significant monument of Portuguese architecture.

Passports were required to be uploaded by third party after we paid

Vacation rentals in Portugal are managed by a processing third party that forces a paid guest to upload their passports before check in is possible. When we found this out, it was too late to be reimbursed. Had we known this requirement prior to booking, we’d have opted to stay in a hotel ( which just takes the guest name/place of birth & number), since keeping a copy of my passport is intrusive to my privacy/security of my identity. We will NOT be staying at a short term rental in Portugal again since all companies go through this outfit that has archaic requirements. Our short term vacation rentals in other countries (Italy, Switzerland & Germany) only required the passport information, not a picture of our passport. I’ll be reporting this practice/company to my embassy.

Great Location

Sonia, the Host, met us at the property and showed us this beautiful contemporary unit in the middle of a historic part of Setubal., with lots or restaurants and shops all around us. Nicely renovated with all the right touches, a classy place. Sonia was very helpful with lots of information, and a “no charge” lot to park our car. Would definitely recommend this property
