We didnât get any view. The trail to the lake crosses in front of a cabin. Wasnât sure if it was occupied so we turned around and headed back as to not disturb anyone elseâs experience. Overall the property was amazing. Adrian( the host) was amazing to deal with. We will definitely be back.
It was a little piece of heaven on earth for us. If you love the outdoors I highly recommend! Every time I go back to the mountains I want to stay in this same spot (camp whitetail) if we donât have a bunch of ppl with us. We will most definitely be back. We want one of our own just like it now. The lake was dry while we were there but we stayed from Oct 16-19 so that was okay with us we got to walk it and explore the bottom. We seen bear feces and prints. Weather was perfect for us. It did rain the morning we left. It made it even more hard to get out of bed it was so peaceful! Adrian is an awesome host also he replies quickly and makes sure you have what you need!
Wonderful hosts that communicate well and are so kind and helpful. Beautiful tent and area. The shower is awesome. Peaceful and lots of extras like a grill and camping chairs. A few minutes from town. Right on the lake for fishing.
Second time staying here. It is an absolutely great place out in the quiet of the woods. The canpsite is also close enough to town if you need to run out quick to the grocery store.
We had a great time exploring the coves on Douglas Lake in the canoe and paddle board. The lake water was clean and warm. Adrian was a great host. He was quick to respond to any issue that arose. The large fans were helpful to give us relief from the July humidity. The nearest grocery store is about 20 minutes away, which isnât too bad. This was a perfect place to stop for a few nights on our way to the Smokies. Thanks Adrian!
This is a magnificent hide away. The tent is tucked away in a clearing making you feel like you're the only ones out there. Having lake access is an extremely nice perk for the summer months, the host has even provided a paddle board and canoe. To top it off the tent has running water and electricity.
My family and i stayed a week at the cabin. We wanted a vacation away from social media and electronics and this was the perfect place for it. Made a bunch of memories and played a bunch of games. We will be back when it is not so hot. The cabin had everything we needed, fans were provided and used very often, haha. The fireflies were amazing and the lake was amazing.
Beautiful and relaxing. The shower is my favorite! Quite and secluded but close enough to town. Owners are so helpful and friendly. Canât wait to go back!
This was a nice getaway close to all things in the Smokies. The tent is very well stocked and the host thought about everything for your stay. We only had to bring food :) The outdoor shower was pleasantly surprising in a good way. I was nervous about the outhouse setup but it was great minus the bugs! The only thing I wish was different was the access to the lake I wish it was more on the water but otherwise it was a great trip. The host was always available for questions and helpful! Thank you!
All the joys of camping without the inconveniences
We really enjoyed our stay and glamping experience. The entry instructions were easy to follow and it was a little bit magical walking down to the tent for the first time. Everything was perfect and very clean, even for my clean freak husband. We stayed with our 3 year old who was very excited to find games and toys for him to play with. We loved sitting on the balcony and even though it got into the upper 30s, we were all warm in our beds without the electric blankets. They really thought of everything you may need for a stay and to cook dinner. There was also plenty of firewood and even kindling and paper to get it started. Really all you need to bring is food! Everything else is taken care of! Host is very responsive. Its very private but I would say the only downside is the dogs barking at night. But everything else still makes it worth it. We would make the 5 hour trip down again! We headed into the Smokies and to Anakeesta, in Gatlinburg, which was a lot of fun for the 3 year old.
Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
We had a great time during our stay! Our 4 year old wanted to go camping so this was perfect. Adrian had so many nice touches to make our stay comfortable such as a wagon at the parking area to help with transporting stuff, firewood, and lots of blankets to keep warm! We ventured to the lake and were still about to go fishing further down even though the lake was lowered. We were not able to use the canoe. The bathhouse was a perfect touch and convenient. We loved that we had hot water! With it being cooler, we didnât have as much of an issue with bugs but still couldnât escape them (as to be expected when camping). We felt safe, still had phone service, and actually slept very well! From an inexperienced camper, 10/10 recommend if you are trying to get the camping experience!
Our first experience with Glamping & we were more than satisfied with the experience! Only wish weâd booked a longer stay and got to enjoy more of the camp site but we stayed out on the town shopping more than in and didnât get to take advantage of everything the camp had to offer! Will definitely be staying again!
Iâm so glad we chose this place as our first glamping experience. The location was private and peaceful. We were there in July, so it was warm at night, but we loved waking up to cool mornings and having coffee on the deck. We had fans at night to help us stay cool. One of our favorite things was the outdoor shower. The Smoky Mountains were incredibly beautiful. We hiked some of the trails, swam in the river and picnicked along the way. This was a wonderful vacation. We would definitely do it again!
