Bill, our host was always available, and happy to give us helpful advice about restaurants and things to do in the area. A really nice guy.The house is in a picture card location on a beautiful creek, yet within a 5 minute scenic walk into the village, or to the waterfront town. Will certainly be back.
The owner is very friendly and helpful. He even upgraded the room without additional fee. The rooms are so clean and organized with nice thick towels and amenities. Free coffee and tea were available with a water server, microwave, and a little sink to wash dishes. The area is so quiet and peaceful although some good restaurants and ferry port are in walking distance. Highly recommended.
Even for Labor Day weekend, this was way over-priced at a total of $467 per night -- a small room with hardly space for the bed, and none of the ordinary amenities like TV and Wi-Fi (apparently in all four rooms) and breakfast consisting of DIY coffee. Making contact with the owner to check in was mostly for his convenience since we had to agree ahead of time to be there when he was. Returning after our first day we found the room had not been made up and were told he had "forgotten" to tell us we needed to request it since it had been made optional with (long past) Covid. Not an experience we wish to repeat.
Great two nights at the beautiful house on chase creek. Our room was delightful, clean and the owner even gave us an upgrade to a more spacious room! Couldnât have asked for a better stay!
