Miriamâs home was beautiful. When we pulled in to neighborhood, we were excited to see all the Amish nearby. We were pleasantly surprised. We were living amongst them. The home was delightful. When we walked into the house, it was so inviting, We thought weâd want to be in town exploring the whole time but instead we didnât want to leave the house. There ainât anything that Miriam hasnât thought of. She was very quick to respond to any questions. Three other woman and myself from church had come to Shipshewana to see a Christian concert at Blue Gate. That is a wonderful place also. Lots of great shows. Shipshewana didnât disappoint either. It was a beautiful weekend enjoying a simpler lifestyle. Be sure to drive the countryside also. The homes are gorgeous. This was the first time any of us had ever been to Shipshewana but surely wonât be our last. Thank you, Miriam for allowing us to enjoy your lovely home. Our cup runneth over!
Our group was 3 women 50, and we were so pleased with our stay. The home was nicely decorated, peaceful, and so welcoming. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and close to Shipshewana activities. We hope to stay there again.
Loved this house! Beautiful property and close to everything. Came with 2 friends to shop at the market. Beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. Nothing crazy modern that you canât figure out lol. Feels like home. Neighborhood is super quiet. We sat outside every night until bedtime. Very peaceful. Great communication. House was very well stocked with everything. Loved the coffee bar. Highly recommend!
Our week stay was great. The house was extremely clean. Fully stocked kitchen (and I mean stocked). The beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed reading and playing cards.Very quiet and close to everything. Went to see a play at Blue Gate Theatre and enjoyed a meal there also. We went to the Flea market Tuesday and Wednesday. Weather was awful, hardly any vendors, but we had a good time. Thanks for sharing your home!
We were delighted to find this gem of a house so close to downtown Shipshewana. Miriam was an excellent host and responded quickly to all of our questions. The property is nestled in a quiet neighborhood and was very clean and cozy.
Mike and Rose thought of everything! The house is gorgeous, the location is great, and our stay was just perfect. Rose responded immediately to any questions I had. We'll certainly rent this wonderful property again.
Our group of girlfriends were in Shipshewana for âMenopause The Musical 2â. This house afforded us the chance to laugh, talk, pray and fellowship in a comfortable setting. (We hope our laughter was not too disruptive to the property manager who also lives onsite.)
Will definitely stay here in the future.
We enjoyed our stay in this peaceful, yet close to town, home. The host made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We will definitely consider staying here again!
Miriam's home is wonderful and has everything to make your stay feel like home. This is the second time we have stayed at her place and will do so in the future. The neighborhood is quiet and the perfect place to unwind. Close to all of the attractions. She is attentive to her guests needs and responds immediately. We look forward to future stays.
We stayed in this lovely home for 2 nights so we could go to a few concerts at the Blue Gate. The home was everything I hoped it would be. It was as warm and welcoming as Miriam is and in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
Five of us ladies wanted to see the quilt gardens in Elkhart County as well as soak up the Shipshewana sites. As we looked for a perfect spot to make day trips from, Songbird kept rising to the top. It did not disappoint in anyway! There were comfortable beds for each of us and we were able to share the two bathrooms without any challenges. The well equipped, Pampered Chef kitchen gave us everything we needed to accommodate our meal preps. We enjoyed relaxing walks in the neighborhood as well as chats on the front and back porches. We had fun game time around the table in the evenings and morning devotions in the living room with each person having comfortable places to sit.
Beautiful home with ample space and a lovely feel! Front porch swing and patio were great for AM coffee and PM relaxing! Miriam is a wonderful lady and her story is familiarâŠyou must read the journal! Also, check out the cookbooks and Amish information!!
We loved it!
