This was our second stay at Cromwells. It's a small traditional pub with rooms in a central location. We parked at the NCP which is five mins walk away. We had room 2, which is directly above the bar. There is bar noise in this room but no music playing during our Friday night stay, so not too bad. The room is, dated and small but adequate. The beds here are beautiful old wooden beds which add an historic touch to the stay. We didn't dine here so can't review that. The price we paid was very reasonable for a Friday night, which was £67. We would stay again
Cosy, clean room, comfy bed, minutes from all the shops. Would book again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Room and bedding were generally clean and comfortable - at the level expected for a three star property. It was a bit unfortunate that I needed to get early nights ahead of work days and my room seemed to be directly above the bar. I was otherwise happy with the quality of the accommodation. As another reviewer has said, this is an old property - the fact that it's a bit worn is just part and parcel. However, if you're someone with accessibility issues then it would be unsuitable (e.g. uneven floors, stairs only, not super roomy).
Good value for money and great location to explore Shrewsbury from. Staff were great for check in, very quick even tho the pub was busy when we arrived!

The staff are very nice and welcoming, the room me and my other half had was very cosy and a great spot in Shrewsbury town
Lovely room, amazing bed. Clean and tidy. Staff are helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Close to parking and town. Our only issue was it could do with better curtains or blackout blinds for the street lights. It wasn’t the quietest of places but you are on the side of a main street so all in all we would recommend it

Lovely room, spacious, very comfortable bed. You could hear some music from the pub until they closed but not loud enough to bother me - slept like a log! Nice pub too with a good beer selection.

Fabulous four-poster room and excellent value.
Bed was really comfy.
Very weedy hairdryer and minimal toiletries, so bring your own. Incredible shower in which to use the minimal toiletries though!
The man who showed me to the room was lovely.
Would very happily stay again.
Excellent staff, very polite and helpful. Situated right in the centre of Shrewsbury so ideally placed. Our room was compact, but had everything that we needed and it was clean and tidy. The only downside was the heat of the rooms, meaning we needed to have windows open on a busy road. There was a fan in our room. The room was noisy but being directly above a pub was what we expected, plus probably hard to insulate for this in a building of that age! Overall, good value for money and well positioned for a weekend away.

Disliked: Amenities
Staff friendly, but a little noisy in room 2 directly above the bar and no hot water on our final night/morning
Straight forward instructions of how to check in, the staff were friendly and helpful of how to access the hotel room and out the building. Lovely little room with a lovely window view outside, spotless with some tea and coffee treats. Convenient in the middle of town too.
Will be returning again !
