Welcome to Banyan Tree Cottage, a charming 3-bedroom, 3-bath tropical retreat tucked into a quiet neighborhood on the peaceful north end of Siesta Key.

Surrounded by lush, garden-like landscaping and shaded by a magnificent grandfather banyan tree, the cottage offers something increasingly hard to find on Siesta Key: the relaxed feeling and privacy of an island home, while still being close to the beaches, restaurants and attractions that make Sarasota and Siesta Key so special.

One of our favorite neighborhood experiences is an easy walk to intimate Shell Beach—a small beach overlooking Big Sarasota Pass and a wonderful place to watch the Florida sunset. For a full beach day, Siesta Key's famous white-quartz sand beaches are just a short drive away.

THE COTTAGE

Step inside to a bright, comfortable home filled with tropical colors, vintage Florida character and modern conveniences.

The split-bedroom floor plan provides extra privacy for families, couples and friends traveling together. The cottage features two ensuite bedrooms plus a third bedroom, each with a comfortable queen bed and soft linens. A full-size pullout sofa is also available when needed.

With three full bathrooms, guests have plenty of space to get ready for a day at the beach or an evening out.

THE BANYAN TREE LANAI

The heart of the property—and one of the things that makes Banyan Tree Cottage truly special—is our whimsical cabana-style screened lanai beneath the shade of the property's magnificent banyan tree.

Furnished for both dining and lounging, it's a wonderful place for morning coffee, an afternoon with a book, dinner after the beach or a relaxed evening outdoors—all while screened from Florida's less-welcome little visitors.
A vintage-style bar cart makes it easy to move food and drinks between the kitchen, lanai and outdoor grilling area, where you'll find a propane gas grill.

FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN

The updated kitchen is stocked for everything from morning coffee and light snacks to preparing a family dinner.

Wonderful home and all on one level!

Our group consisted of both in-town residents and out-of-state visitors. One of the in-town people was my 88-year old mother. Naturally we wanted a place all on one level. This home had everything we needed and at a reasonable price. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped, and the place was spotless. I would stay here again for sure.

Fabulous Stay in Siesta Key

We stayed during spring break 2021. The house fit our family of 6 (2 adults and 4 teenagers) perfectly and was very clean and had everything we would have wanted. Bonus was a den with a fold-out couch that we were not expecting but definitely put to use. The lanai was a great addition to the house and we ate all of our meals there. The gardens were gorgeous. Everything was well-kept. We would highly recommend.

Ladies week away

This home is exactly as pictured: beautiful, clean, roomy, well stocked, convenient and quiet. All communication with owners was quick and efficient. We used nearby Shell Beach, except at high tide, with plenty of parking. Patio and outside sitting areas are lovely. This home was a quiet oasis surrounded by lovely beaches, museums and restaurants, exactly want we wanted. It felt like our piece of paradise. Thank you.

Charming home in a great location!

We really enjoyed our stay. Cottage has all the charm of an old Florida cottage and all of the modern conveniences. Wi-fi was reliable. A/C totally comfortable. Kitchen modern and up-to-date. W/D just what you would expect. A perfect place for two semi-retired professionals to get our work done, access all of places we like to play (beach, biking, kayaking, excellent restaurants, theater, music, etc.) and visit friends all over Sarasota. Owners were very responsive to minor issues that arose. Hope to come back next year!

Florida Trip

The property is located on the far north end of Siesta Key which requires transportation to any of the beaches or shopping areas. The property was relatively clean although either the cleaning company or previous tenants had not been quite diligent in some areas - linens, towels etc. There were a few issues that required outside professionals to rectify during our stay however both the owners and the Property Management Group responded quickly.

Very nice home for a family stay

We really enjoyed this home. It was quiet, well equipped with everything you need and had good WiFi as three of us were working remotely. The home is adorably furnished and has a sunroom off back for reading/relaxing It was easy to get off the island to run errands but you did need a car. Closest thing to walk to is about 1.5 miles There is a cute little beach a few blocks away for chilling or watching the sunset Overall is was a great beach town home and would definitely stay there again
