The room was clean and comfortable. The old observation of something that might be improved was the shower was not hot enough for me. Not a super big deal, overall, a nice stay and a very reasonable price

I have stayed at the Murray several times in recent years and my experiences have all been good. For a value hotel, it provides a good location in downtown Silver City, is an historic property dating from the late 1930’s and a clean, comfortable room. Plus, helpful staff.

This is a quaint property that has been excellently restored. Makes you feel like you have transported into the 1950’s. Room was extremely clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. Only 2 negatives for me. First the parking is on the street. If the Main Street is open it is fine but it was full and ended up parking on a side street next to a homeless gentleman, made me nervous. Second, the TV is antenna only, ended up watching an old episode from Star Trek, gotta love Captain Kirk. Overall it’s a good property with a few upgrades it would be rated a lot higher.

I loved staying at this 1940s art deco hotel! The original architecture and style have been preserved. For that reason, it’s not for everyone; for instance, the bathrooms have not been remodeled—they are still small with little counter space as you’d expect in a 1940s hotel. However, they have the beautiful, original tile work and fixtures. The employees and manager were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast had good coffee, waffles, oatmeal, bread and muffins, cereal in a spacious dining room. The location of the hotel is perfect! Easy walk to shops, restaurants, and galleries. Wonderful experience and I will stay there again!

A little challenging this visit. One of our rooms was unavailable at check in time. The bed spreads need to be thicker...more like a quilt instead of a light blanket. The hotel was right next to downtown Silver City and we were able to walk to just about everything. A good visit and stay.
