We had such a wonderful stay! The room was very clean and comfortable, the staircase leading up to top bedroom is a bit steep but the young adults could manage it! The host was welcoming and easy to communicate with. We especially loved the beautiful lake view and the provided kayak’s were a huge hit —it made our mornings and evenings so peaceful. It was also a huge plus that the place was pet-friendly! Overall, a great spot for a relaxing getaway, and we’d definitely come back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. Everything we needed was provided. Even the firewood was split, which I appreciated the most - all I had to do was the kindling.The place had a great view of the lake and the sunsets from the private dock were spectacular. Our grandchildren had a lot of fun and the grandparents really enjoyed the evenings relaxing by the fire.

This cabin was very clean and very well stocked with everything you might need. Agata was extremely responsive to our questions. While the place is not waterfront, it still has very nice views of the lake from the livingroom and main floor bedroom. The neighbourhood was extremely quiet and has a small network of walking trails which was great for exploring and walking the dog. As is shown in the photos, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom are very steep, so may be a challenge for older people, very small kids, and folks with mobility issues. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

The cabin was very clean, well stocked, and the outdoor space was lovely! Agata responded to all messages in a timely manner. Being “middle-aged”, we had some challenges with the narrow steps and steepness of the stairs to the second floor bedroom. The path to the lake was a little bit of a challenge as well, so we decided not to try out the kayaks or canoe, in case we weren’t able to get them back up the path. That being said, if you are spry and haven’t had a recent knee replacement (as one of our guests did), this place would be perfect for you. It is quiet and serene, even though the neighbours are nearby. Other than the occasional construction noise from the house next-door, we didn’t hear a peep from anyone.

Conflicted Review

I’m conflicted on my rating, because had we eliminated the issues, it would’ve been 5 star. First of all, the host is nice, check in is easy and the inside of the property is well taken care of. Our issue is we booked this trip as a getaway from the noisy neighbourhood we live in, as they’ve been building across the street for well over a year. The neighbours property at this location is under construction and was loud all day, including the weekend. They had the loud nail compressor guns, saws and drills running. We ultimately spent most of our time inside and had our teens take day trips away from the property. It ended up costing us more money than what we actually wanted to spend. As a result, we did check out a day early. The latest time they worked until was 9pm. The property owner did acknowledge she knew it was under constructions but did not include this information in her listing or notify us when we booked. Had that been the case, we would’ve opted out and found a quieter location. Ultimately, we feel our money was wasted on a non relaxing vacation. I would suggest cleaning the outside property furniture, as those have not been maintained at all. We spent time cleaning the chairs just so we could sit. Disappointed

Nice getaway from the City

Our stay with a nice getaway. We had the comforts of home while being able to enjoy fishing and boating at the lake. There was a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy living room, and the Wi-Fi and TV provided communication and entertainment options. The stay was ideal for our family, it was a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Wonderful hideaway

Our 7 night stay was perfect. The cottage is very well stocked for cooking, and the onsite bbq made our meals that much better. Very private, treed lot, with a fantastic firepit (fire ban woes though). The bathroom is fantastic with a tiled stall and separate jetted tub, more than we expected. Look forward to another getaway to this spot in the future.

Cute little house

I wish we would have known about the poplar fluff blowing around- we were not really able to sit outside or enjoy the yard as it was overwhelming. The first night the neighbours were cutting down trees and mulching them so that was a bit disappointing but it stopped before 9pm. Other than that, everything was good.

Relaxing retreat.

This rental, was above and beyond our expectations!Meticulously clean, fully stocked, anything and everything one would need.The property was stunning, with both indoor and outdoor fireplace, steps from the lake.Our family especially loved the swings.We were greeted by not only beautiful birds, bunnies and squirrels but graceful deer each morning.We definitely recommend this to all as we will definitely be back!!

Another great getaway!

This was our 4th time staying at this property, and as always it was amazing! Such a beautiful, quiet and clean place! And riding on the lake was a great first experience! Get away from the city

The place was exactly what is shown in the pictures. We saw deer everyday and it was super quiet. There is a little community there but we stayed in February so there were not a lot of people around. It was super cold outside for a couple of nights but the geo-thermal heating kept the inside nice and warm, especially on our feet. We are looking at staying here again in the summer to see how the community is.

Peaceful Retreat

As soon as we entered this cottage, we felt at home. No detail was overlooked, and it was inviting, comfortable, and equipped with everything one may require during a short stay. The location is beautiful and serene, and we even saw a few deer. The property is very clean, organized, and spacious. The host was extremely responsive and made sure to communicate all details effectively. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Quick Escape from the City (Edmonton)

Wanted a couple days of peace away from the city, November was a good time - place would be alot busier/nosier in the summer. Kids kept docking stars for lightbulbs being burnt out. They had firewood but recommended we bring our own (so brought some which took up trunk space) or buy some locally. Would have been nice to have the wood included. Over all nice place, not as much nature as we would have liked but not the owners fault.
