It was $350/night…..which I think is over priced. If it is $200/night, I would give a 5 star. I later found out LadyGaga was in town, so obviously I picked the wrong time to visit as I were there for Garden by the bay and the Jewel :)

York hotel is a bit older but the convenience of the location and the size of the rooms more than makes up for the tired fittings. With 2 entrances onto Mount Elizabeth and Scott Streets, it is a quick walk to Orchard and Newton train stations and to Orchard road for food and shopping. We had a family room that slept 4 and it was more than big enough for 2 adults and 2 teenage kids. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I've ever slept on!

The hotel was a very convenient walk to Orchard Blvd, which allowed you access to buses and trains. The rooms were a comfortable size for our family of 4. It had a delicious buffet style breakfast with offered lots of options for tastes. The restaurant also opened for other dining as well.

This Hotel is fine, the breakfast is plentiful but also busy with guests. The pool is a nice feature to use in between sightseeing. The rooms are dated and could use an update. The location is alright. a 10 minute walk to Orchard Road, and an additional 7 mins to the closest MRT. If you're on a budget this is a good option for families, but in the future I would look to stay slightly more central.
