The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. And the included breakfast was good. We recently stayed in a very nice Stoney Creek Hotel in another state and it was awesome, so we decided to get reservations at the Sioux City Hotel. But what a disappointment. The mattress and pillows were very lumpy and the sheets were awful. It felt as if we were sleeping on sandpaper. The overall feel of this property is tired, outdated and the decor is very dusty and in need of a deep cleaning. New paint inside and out, new bedding and decor needed throughout.

The room had the sink located where the bed is. This means after using the toilet, it is not possible to wash hands. The si k required light so the people sleeping are woken by the light by the sink. Poor planning.
