Property doesnât show well from the street - overgrown weeds and looks a little rough. Interior has been updated and was generally clean, but some wear and tear - bathrooms were adequate. Kitchen counter is worn and overall very dated but functional. Cookware was very sparse and very very worn / recommend replacing with some cast iron or stainless steel (30 year old Teflon skillet?) Grill was not functional (no propane, electronic lighter didnât work and no lighter either) - ping pong table was a hit.
There were three of us in town for a week for a family reunion, and this house was a great place for us to call home for that time. Like any older, established home in Sioux Falls, there were small issues that did not detract from our overall comfort. The decor inside was very nicely done. While we didn't use it, the main bedroom and ensuite bathroom in the basement looked very nice. Attention had been paid to the important things such as comfortable beds and bedding, plenty of fluffy towels, fully stocked kitchen, great flooring and comfortable furniture, and wonderful laundry facilities. We had a family member who was recovering from hip surgery, so the front stoop was a bit of a challenge. However, once inside, everything we needed was on one level and easily managed. Weather prevented our usage of the back patio, but it looked very inviting.
Our need for a place to stay in Sioux Falls was sudden and urgent. The homeowner was very responsive to our request and continued to be responsive throughout our stay as questions arose. During a stressful time for our family, it was helpful to be have a clean and comfortable place to stay that met the needs of each family member.
