We absolutely loved staying here. We chose a room with a kitchen, which was very helpful when traveling with kids. Our room was spacious and very clean. The laundry option was great for clean fresh towels. The staff was incredible, very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. It was our first time in DC and we loved it. The breakfast was really good, our kids enjoyed the pancake machine, and I loved the cherry coffee. The groynds were very well maintained. The outside had places to sit and a small playground. The indoor pool was perfect for the kids. We will definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Open Hearth was great. The owner was super accommodating and friendly. The place felt very comforting and cozy. Rooms were clean. I loved the fire pit areas in front and back, pool and hot tub, board games and books available for guests to enjoy, and the variety of drinks, snacks, beer, wine and frozen pizza also available for guests whenever needed. Will definitely stay here again.

Only 1 thing that is negative Pool and spa opened late and closed early We are early risers and wanted to use the spa especially We get closing pool to kids but it could have stayed open for adults a while longer

The entire property was very well maintained, nicely decorated/modern-contemporary. Every staff member we met was very friendly. We liked the location of resort as well as it's right in the middle of Door County with close access to all of the little towns either north or south. It was perfect for us and we would absolutely stay here again.
