It has lovely views over the nearby bay and coast Line. It’s a shame it’s on such a steep hill and doesn’t have a proper bar after 8 pm The owner was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok with a varied menu. Skiathos town is lovely rabbit warren alleys with plenty of bars and restaurants.

Excellent and very friendly staff. Good options for food if needed. Room was spacious and great value for money. The pool was clean and most importantly the view from the hotel was absolutely phenomenal. The hotel is at the top of a steep hill so if you have mobility issues you would need to get a car.

We booked this property for end of September 2024 based on the reviews we read and we liked the look of the pool area. We was not disappointed. The staff were excellent and every request was met with a speedy response and the hotel was very clean. The pool was great with stunning views. However, to have these views you have to be prepared to climb some hills. Yes it was hard work but well worth the effort as the view is simply beautiful. It was around a10min walk into Skiathos town which is easy as downhill and about 5mins to the small beach with its lovely Tavernas. In the evenings we would get a taxi back from the town which cost around 10 euros from the harbour. We had breakfast included and it was basic and was served in the breakfast room. Coffee was great. The pool bar was limited but reasonably priced. Food was great offering a fantastic Thai menu and the usual salads, burgers and snacks you would expect. In summery, this was great value and very relaxing. We will definitely be returning and special thanks to the team for looking after us so well.

Hotel Rene is a great place to stay for a vacation in Skiathos, a family run hotel by owners Anatase& Mod, who made me feel so welcome and we’re very helpful throughout my stay. This hotel provided great hospitality and has real family warmth about it, with amazing sea views in every room and excellent cleanliness, great breakfast, not to forget to mention delicious home made tai meals the hotel has to offer, with a good size swimming pool, and just approx 10mins walk away from nearest beach , made my stay there wonderful. Thank you Anastasia and Mod for a great stay. David

Great views, great shower, comfy bed, good air-con. Very clean and tidy. Basic rooms but tbh what more do you need. Breakfast not our cup of tea but that’s just a personal preference. Just bear in mind very steep walk up to property from town, we enjoyed walking off our dinner but if your not fit enough catch a taxi for a few euros instead.

Deserves an extra star!

Up a small hill off the main strip, but just a 5 min walk to bus stop 4, and what a view from the hotel. The pizza was so good, I ordered the same one 2 evenings in a row and had to do the same with one of their smoothies! Not quite sure how the hotel is rated a 2 star - it's a solid 3 star in my book!

Great Stay !

From the beginning all the people at the front desk were very nice and helpful. We show up early to leave our luggage but they cleaned our room right away and let us check-in. The room was very clean with a great view. Thank you very much to Anastacio, José and a lady who was there. I would definitely recommend this hotel !

I found hotel Rene online and it looked to good to be true but in fact it was!!! The staff is amazing and super attentive to everyone’s needs. Each morning we were served an INCREDIBLE breakfast by the water. The pool overlooking the sea is beautiful and never gets old. Our room was clean and had a beautiful porch with a place to hang our wet clothes and sit down. The bed was incredibly comfortable and they provided us with many extra blankets to make us feel at home. Sitting by the pool we ordered a great lunch and drinks and felt like we could stay there all day. It is only a 10 minute walk into town and provides a sanctuary from the busy town. While the walk was short, it is definitely steep so good to bring sneakers. All together, absolute paradise. Highly recommend.

We like everything about the hotel very clean friendly people Beautiful view . The only downfall is if you don’t have a car walking is quit a workout back and forth to the beach or in town. If you enjoy zen time by the pool great place.
