Large open‑plan living space with full kitchen, two comfy sofas, 50" smart TV with Netflix and Virgin TV, plus Alexa. Upstairs are a double bedroom, twin room (optional 3rd bed) and a bathroom with bath and walk‑in shower.

Sawley Cottage is on a quiet residential street less than a minute’s walk from the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. From the towpath you can walk into Skipton town centre in around 15 minutes in one direction, or towards Gargrave and the countryside in the other.
Skipton is known as the “Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales”. It has an award‑winning High Street, a thriving market (Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat), a well‑preserved medieval castle and plenty of independent shops, cafes, traditional pubs, micro‑breweries, wine bars and restaurants.
It’s an excellent base for walking or cycling in the Dales. Bike hire is available locally and there are many popular routes nearby, including Skipton Woods, Bolton Abbey, Barden Moor, Malham and the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
Skipton train station offers services on the Settle–Carlisle line and to Leeds and Morecambe, making day trips easy. Harrogate, Haworth & Brontë Country, Grassington, Ilkley and the Forest of Bowland are all within reach for days out.
Guests have full private use of the entire house, as well as the back patio area during their stay.
Sawley Cottage is a newly refurbished 2‑bed cottage is ideal whether you’re in Skipton for work or a break. It sleeps up to 5 guests, has free on‑street parking and is just a short walk from Skipton train station and the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
From the canal (around 60 yards away) you can enjoy a scenic 15‑minute stroll straight into Skipton town centre with its cool shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
The ground floor is a large, light open‑plan space. One side is a full kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge, freezer, pots, pans and utensils so you can cook as you would at home. The other side is the living area with two comfortable leather sofas and a 50" smart TV with Netflix and Virgin TV included, plus an Alexa speaker.
Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with two single beds (a third single can be added in this room on request). All beds have good quality mattresses and hotel‑style linen. Both bedrooms have contemporary storage for your clothes. A travel cot can be provided on request.
The bathroom has a separate walk‑in shower plus a bath with shower over. We provide body wash, shampoo and conditioner.
At the rear there is a lovely patio area accessed from the back of the house, perfect for a morning coffee or relaxing on summer evenings.
There is free on‑street parking on the same road as the house. You can often park directly outside the front door, or just a few spaces away.
If you prefer not to drive, there’s a bus stop around 2 minutes’ walk away and Skipton train station is about 10 minutes’ walk, giving you flexible travel options both locally and further afield.
Sawley Cottage is on a quiet residential street, so we ask all guests to respect quiet hours after 10pm. The property is not suitable for parties, including hen or stag groups.
Early check‑in and late check‑out may be available on request for an additional fee.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the house. If you smoke outside on the patio, please dispose of cigarette ends carefully and respectfully.
Strictly no parties, events, loud noise or extra guests beyond those on the original booking. We operate a zero‑tolerance policy and you may be asked to leave, with no refund, if these rules are broken.
Longer stays are welcome. We often host contractors, business travellers, families relocating or guests needing a base while refurbishing their own home. Please contact us to discuss long‑term rates and any specific requirements.
