We had a perfect week!! The location was a amazing - quiet and beautiful. A lovely place to stay where we could go to MDI for the day and return home to tranquility. Our nightly sunset walks were the best! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
Wonderful stay, the home was charming and comfortable, had everything we needed. Lovely views to wake up to and on our walks around the area. Driving to Bar Harbor and Acadia was easy.
Great house. Really quant. Amazing deck with views. Easy to get to and easy to check in and out. Maine is a great place to visit. The weather was amazing. In the 70âs. But bring bug spray! :)
Thank you to the entire Maine Coastal team to make the process so seamless. Everything was perfect and the views were so calm and soothing. My in laws loved everything about it, they didnât want to leave the property lol.
The home was spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed! We were disappointed the weather was rainy, foggy, and cool most of our trip, so we didnât get to enjoy sitting outside and the view. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a peaceful getaway!
We were excited to be in Maine, for our first time in Acadia National Park. The house was charming but needed some TLC, the front was full of leaves and everything was overgrown, quite hard to use the yard. The BBQ was quite dirty and no brushes to use to clean it. The kitchen was well appointed, except the portable dishwasher did not have any instructions, so we did not feel comfortable using it. The kitchen, living area and bedrooms were comfortable and pleasant. We did not use the lower level sleeping area. The view every morning was fantastic! The outdoor seating area over the garage was very nice, it could use a power wash.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and with a bit of TLC this place could be fantastic.
The home is located in a beautiful location that was very easy to access. We enjoyed morning walks and time spent just enjoying the view. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!
Love love love this place! Great views, location, neighborhood, great communication from management, and the house itself is lovely. 10 out of 10 will suggest!
The house was very nice overall. It was a very good location to be able to access Acadia/Bar Harbor (about an easy 50 minute drive around the Mt Desert Narrows, Frenchman's Bay and their numerous tributaries and coves) while at the same time enjoying the nestled seclusion of Sorrento. There is a little market nearby that we did not notice until near the end of the trip (Dunbars) that is stocked with most of what you need for a good week's worth of meals to include adult beverages. The town's streets and roads provide ample ways to exercise safely. Very friendly and quiet location! One caution I would provide is that the shower off of the main living room is fairly small and very, very slippery. Be very careful when using it. That bathroom is also tight in space overall so it can only have one person using it at a time. Otherwise a great location especially if you want to be a bit further from the hustle of Bar Harbor but able to easily take a day trip there or to the National or local State Parks.
Loved the house. Looking out on the water in the morning and evenings was so relaxing! There was a heat wave but fans are available, so we made the best of it. Well stocked kitchen. Would stay again if visiting Bar Harbor.
The stay in Sorrento was great for a family trip with my girlfriend and parents. Loved the home and location! 45 minutes from Acadia National Park but off the touristy radar so we could still have quiet nights looking out at the water and peaceful mornings doing the same
This property worked very well for our family of 5 as a quiet alternative to staying in Bar Harbor for our exploration of Acadia. Itâs very convenient to the Schoodic Penninsula portion of the park, and we really liked that less visited part of the park. The town of Sorrento is very peaceful, and it was nice wandering down the waterfront in the evening. The deck view from the house is lovely, and I spent a wonderful afternoon out there reading and enjoying the wearher.
Our only complaint about the property is that the mattress in the second bedroom really needs an upgrade. The master, daybed in the master, and the futon in the basement were all very comfy.
The house was very nice. My family and I enjoyed a long weekend getaway and enjoyed all of the property had to offer. Close to Acadia national park and to several local restaurants.
Nice, well kept house away from the hustle & bustle of Bar Harbor for our first visit to the Coast of Maine. Loved having morning coffee on the deck with the view of the harbor and ocean and then at night sitting out taking in the star-filled sky. Only suggestion would be to leave either the porch or garage light on on the day someone new is checking in for the first time. We arrived well after dark and had a hard time seeing where the door was to enter the house.
Quiet neighborhood with spectacular views of the bay. The house was larger then expected. We had 2 vehicles, so parking was a challenge, but manageable.
Property is very large and big enough to accommodate a larger family. All amenities are there. All beds did not have clean linens on check in, and house needed to be aired out on arrival (odd smell). Never fully got rid of smell and couldnt figure out the source.
Beds are comfortable, and there is everything there you need to enjoy a family vacation and cook meals. There was ample hot water.
The location is good for the park. You are away from the crowded tourist area but it comes at the cost of convenient restaurants. If you are planning on cooking most meals this is the right place.
Overall, the house grew on me and has charm. Sitting on the deck watching the boats at the end of a long day of hiking was perfect.
