Location, location, location, fabulous! The new hot tub on the deck was incredible! The wide open spaces were wonderful! Loved the spaciousness of the kitchen. We appreciated the heater that was provided for the downstairs bedroom. Beach access was quite convenient, just a five minute walk from the house.
The kitchen needs a SERIOUS update (refrigerator w/ filtered water and an ice dispenser would be a great start as well as new countertops and a new paint job on the cabinets, fyi, the Insta Hot faucet was neither instant nor hot) as do the bathrooms, for the big ticket price that is being charged.
It also peculiar that there are no grab bars in any of the three bathroom showers. It would be beneficial to add them to at least one of the showers.
Another oddity was the lack of identification on the three vessels holding what I would assume were shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. I could never figure out which was which.
Two of the three mornings we woke up to having the garbage can tipped over and we had to pick up all of the strewn debris, an unpleasant task for sure. This was likely due to racoons or other wildlife. A metal or wooden “corral” with doors would likely combat this issue. Speaking of garbage, the verbiage in the guide, regarding garbage being picked up on Monday is very vague. I wound up running out to the street to one of the different trucks that were picking up garbage/recycling and asking if we were supposed to have pulled the containers out to the street. He initially looked at me blankly but in the end said they didn’t pick up for the house we were staying in. It would be beneficial to have more specific instructions on what is required by your guests.
I found it peculiar that we were told there was only parking available for 5 cars when, clearly, there was room for twice that many.
An emergency contact phone number for the manager should be in a much more obvious place (such as on the refrigerator door).
One last issue, the email with the check-in information was not accurate. The third paragraph states there are two attached files (1 w/ directions and another w/ the Rental Agreement) yet there is only one. I contacted the management company requesting that they resend w/ both files. They resent but there still was only one file. Come to find out they had been combined BUT there is no title/heading of Rental Agreement in that file. Confusing AND time consuming.
