The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Half the hotel was closed. The room was just ok But the worst part is they charged for us to use there chairs and umbrella??? And we had to take my own trash out??? We will never return to south padre because of this experience. By the way we did try to cancel in advance when they sent me a message about half the hotel being closed. They refused to cancel

Under construction but we were made aware before we arrived. Staff was super nice and helpful. Room was clean and breakfast was good. Loved that we got our waffles and didn’t even have to make them ourselves!

Was deeply disappointed when we arrived on the property. We were welcomed into the front lobby which had jackhammers loud music and construction staff yelling. All guests have to use a side entrance where you pass tons of construction trash, a narrow unsafe walkway for elderly people, and it smells like sewage. Further since this is the only way in and out of the property it’s continuously crowded and hard to get through with luggage. The message they sent did say there would be a tiny bit of construction, but it is everywhere and you have to walk by the sound of skill, saw jackhammer loud music and construction people yelling to get to and from your room and restaurant. The restaurant is just pool food. And not full service. There are no alternative milk options at breakfast. The pictures on Expedia‘s website are actually the artist’s rendition of the finished property or AI and not actually its current state. The locks on the rooms do not work reliably so you will potentially be locked out of your room every time you leave or have to swipe your key 15 to 30 times for the door lock to register it. During our time there of three days, we went through 15 keys, and two full maintenance visits to get our in and out of our room. Every room had this. Further, since we booked 2 Rooms, they place us on separate floors and not adjoining rooms. This was a big problem for our family. Last and not least there are only approximately nine rooms that face the ocean. Stay anywhere else.

Yes we had a wonderful stay! Very Clean, comfortable and the kindest staff of employees. They upgraded our room to a beach front view which was awesome. Even though it was noted in my reservation that I am handicap. We weren't informed it was no longer in ADA compliant due to the construction. We weren't able to cancel or be compensated because we booked through a 3rd party. Our sheets were dirty and the room above us was horrific until 1am and then started again at 7am. We did call the front desk but nothing was done. We have stayed here many many times. It was the first time I've complained.

The place is old and showing wear. They had the first floor pretty much closed down due to construction, so you had to walk out the front door and around the side of theplace to get to the pool or beach. The walk wasn't handicapped friendly because about half way back you had to go down stairs and through uneven grass. Also it wasn't very relaxing when they were doing construction in the hallway back by the restaurant and po. Jack hammering floors and running wheel barrows through the pool area throughout the day. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of choices and they even made omelets to orxer and tacos.. We had a lot of troubles with our roo.key throughout our stay, and when we arrived out tv wouldn't work either. They sent a mmaintenance man to fix the tv. All in all, it's
