There were several charges that were not mentioned when we made the booking through hotels.com. We discovered that parking is an additional fee, even though it was mentioned as being available during the booking process. It would have been beneficial if they had clearly stated that parking is an additional charge. There are also charges for using the swimming pool. We assumed that these charges were included in the room charges, as this is often the case when booking a resort.

We ate three times in the bar and grill and the food was terrible. Had to go off premises to get something decent to eat. The cleaning staff was very rude Beach access is terrible if you want to go early in the morning The ice machine on the seventh floor did not work. You would think a big name hotel chain like this could do better I will not stay at a Margaritaville resort again, and I won’t recommend it to anyone. I know at least not the one at South Padre Island.

The custodial staff were the kindest staff and making sure we were well taken care of. The air-conditioner made a hissing continuous hissing noise making it difficult to sleep. All our items felt damp with all the condensation and that is keeping it at 70*.

Beautiful property but needs detail cleaning. There was mold in the sink of the restroom and the appliances were dirty. Very easy access to the beach and they had live music which was great!

Took a chance and made reservations for this property. I arrived early and appreciated being able to check in early after an extremely early morning flight. My check in was a few hours after my arrival. The staff were accommodating and friendly. My room was fine up until the last night when the people next door arrived and I could tell they left a lap dog in the room alone that was barking and whining. The carpet on my floor had an unclean smell (not damp or musty) and was in need of being cleaned and vacuumed. Often times it was difficult to find lounge chairs at the pool and the hotel did not provide chairs on the beach. Public parking and walkway to the beach are within 300ft of the hotel however I didn’t find this to be a problem. My biggest concerns at this hotel was the horrendous smell of the lobby restroom and the bleach-like taste of the water. Unfortunately the restaurant is located adjacent to the restaurant. It smelled like poop or a land field. The water was undrinkable however the hotel did provide two 16 oz bottles of H2O a day. The hotel does not provide any shuttle serves however the free shuttle is located just across the street from the hotel and covered the entire length of Padre Street and a portion of Port Isabelle. The DJ was excellent however the band was mediocre. As far as the restaurant, I had breakfast there twice but would not recommend dinner. The Salty Rim Bar is fine and so was the pizza. Unsure if I will return.

The best part of this hotel is the beach access. I don’t understand how they can stand the smell in the lobby, it’s a mix of urine and septic. We thought it was odd the first day we arrived but figured it would go away, it did not. You could hardly stand to walk by the front areas. We have stayed at many resorts and there is always tons of activities; not here. The pool looked dirty the water so hot and we did not use it at all. The staff was rude and honestly seemed annoyed when you asked them anything. There was no greeting our welcome when we arrived. We were so excited to stay here but if you are traveling with a large group or kids go someplace else. The food is so expensive and the breakfast buffet is 22$ per person which we would have paid if it was not so limited. They have a coffee shop, breakfast sandwiches at 14$… will not be back you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Way overpriced for what it is. Cleanliness was not the best, we had a dead roach in our room. Also, everyday at 6am, we had a landscaping crew right outside our balcony, shaving down palm trees.

We usually stay at commercial hotels like Holiday Inn or the Hilton. This was our first time staying in a resort on the beach. The price was about the same but you get way much more staying at a resort. Loved the pool, the drinks, the food and the immediate access to the beach. We will definitely be coming back to Margaritaville! Cheers!

You can hear the people in the room around you and in the hallways. The air conditioning unit is super loud. I was woken up by the people next to me talking super loud at 2:30 AM so I got a terrible nights sleep.
