The staff at Reception were so helpful and friendly. We stayed for one night and used the spa which was an absolute treat! The website states the spa is open until 10pm but the staff insisted they close at 9.45pm so we only had 45 minutes to enjoy it. By that time of night it was a little bit grubby in the sauna and steam room with empty water cups littering the space but the rest of the facilities were lovely and we had a great time. The bed was soooooo comfortable, the mattress had a topper on it that made it feel like a cloud. There was a strange smell in the whole hotel that hinted at smoke being masked by an air freshener which was a bit unpleasant and my clothes came home smelling of it. I do love this hotel though and would stay again.

Room was nice, good position overlooking the river. Decor and fittings unfortunately rather dated. Clean and diligent housekeeping, communal areas lacked basic maintenance and areas like lifts and poolside areas need updating inside. Strange odour in lift and foyer. Staff on site nice and helpful.

The room was lovely - clean, comfortable, great size with plenty of space, and we could even see the sea from our window. The bathroom was the only let down as it was very tired with lots of black marks around the tiles. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Perfect location for a spot of Xmas shopping. Wasn't impressed with the food in the restaurant- roast turkey dinner with no yorkshires or roast potatoes, very average, and the cheese board after was very tasteless.

Staff were really friendly and helpful our room was clean but the single beds in twin room was made up in a rush and beds moved around food was excellent great value for the money Shame Poole and hot tub was out of use that is why we booked to stay

We stayed at the Royal Leanardo prior to our cruise disembarking from Southampton. The hotel is within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We found all the staff friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and our bed was comfortable. We would recommend a stay here for anyone prior to a cruise. The concierge arranged taxi reservations and the coordination of transportation to the cruise terminal for the guests. This was helpful.

Swimming pool closed for repairs during my stay. The reception staff tell you to register your car registration when parking but don’t tell you you have to pay or add it on your bill. Would have been caught out if I hadn’t asked, after I had already checked out., as no printed invoice was given on checkout.
