A nice, quiet place to relax after a day of activity. Walking distance to downtown is a plus! The only things that could be improved are the wifi (it kept randomly cutting off), a bit more shelf space in the bedroom for things like toothbrushes and razors and we had a lot of bugs and spiders in the space and one of them left an itchy bite on my wife’s leg!

The shower was so small that my husband inadvertently scalded himself. The bed was too soft and my husband and I “rolled” into each other all night. Two highlights were the great towels and toilet paper

The experience was kind of creepy. We received no advance info regarding check in. Got to the listed address and the cottages had a. Different name than where we had booked. After knocking multiple times the maintenance man answered the door. Had to call someone to get out check in info. It just all seemed a bit off

Adorable cottages right by the spearfish river. It’s like living in a tiny house with all the conveniences of home. This property is so close to everything such as the canyon, restaurants, fishing and other services. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and convenient but overall disappointing. The bathroom was so small. The shower was approximately 30”square and the sink was half the size of a normal sink. And the bathroom was practically part of the bedroom. The bed was pushed up against the wall so that you could open the bathroom door. Which meant that the person next to the wall had to crawl out of bed. The tv in the bedroom didn’t work. The couch was uncomfortable with no end tables or coffee table. No place to set anything down. No side table in the bedroom either. It was a prefab box set on a slab with everything done on the cheap. The parking was close and the contactless check in was easy. It was more like staying in a travel trailer than a cottage. Overall not a good value. I would never book this place again.

I liked the whole experience. From the reservation confirmation to letting me know when my cottage was ready. Allowing me to check in early. I would give it 6 stars if I could. You can’t go wrong with a stay here. Stop at the grocery and get stuff for breakfast plus snacks. Drop your things and groceries. Head out for dinner. Short drive. Or moderate walk to restaurants.
Simple bedroom
Nice kitchen area.
Small shower and sink. Everything you need. Nothing you don’t.
Local attraction. Plenty of scenic drives/rides to get there. Get off the interstate and check out Deadwood and Lead. Awesome drive through Spearfish canyon. Starts or ends less than 10 minutes from the cottage.

Cute, clean little cottage close to a little stream. Nice walking area with little to no traffic. Restaurants within walking distance. Lots of parking space. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back one day.

This place is a Gem! Sweet cottages, perfect location. Parking right in front. The hosts are very responsive. Anyone visiting Spearfish looking for a great location and a cozy.place, pick this! Our 2 dogs were comfortably resting in the separate kitchen area. We had a separate bedroom. The shower is large and water very nice. Thank you!
