Room was disgusting. Hair dryer did not work. WiFi was worse than cell service. Towels seemed dirty and smelled. Water in the shower was slimy and did not get hot. There was a smoke alarm located right above the bed with a BRIGHT flashing light that flashed every 10 seconds. I had to tack up a rag just to stop it from giving me an epileptic seizure. The worst part however, was the smell. The entire room smelt like dirty gym socks. I purchased air freshener to try and mask it but was unsuccessful. Ultimately I decided to leave this room and book elsewhere as it was disintegrating my mental health. Googles rating of the hotel was 2.1 whereas the rating given to me at hotels.com was a 7.9. Complete misrepresentation on hotels.comâs part. I was unable to obtain a refund for the days I did not stay.
When I informed the front desk of the smell she barged into my room and acted like she couldnât smell a thing. Gaslighting was insane. I also paid a high amount a night for my stay and when I checked the price while I was there it was half the price a night. I feel like I was completely misled by not only the property but the platform(hotels.com) that I use for all my travel. Setting a better example is advice I would give to both entities.
