I needed a change of scenery and get out of my town for a little bit. the room was beautiful.The pool area was nice and calm, needs A little music though. Loved the beautiful walk outside and around the hotel.

This is a very large facility/property which is part of why it just wasn't for me. Front staff are friendly and helpful which is very nice. Housekeeping is also quite friendly. Thus, the people working here are top notch. That said, parking is a tad confusing if one is a first-timer there - large and meandering but not always well signed. The rooms are in lettered buildings (A, B, C, etc.) which feels more college dorm-like than hotel. Inside our building, the room was very much like my college days in a dorm - spare, smallish, no real sense of "welcome". The bathroom was SMALL (compared to other hotels in which I have stayed recently). In sum, Ruby River Hotel just was not for me.

Good location for walking along the river

Fine overnight stay for two people and our dog. Dogs are $25 extra but the grounds are nice and it is a dog friendly area to walk around. The main drawback was an unpleasant odor in our room.

The hotel and staff were excellent. We were able to walk to our play and leave the car there and that was very convenient. However we went tp the bar to grab a light supper and had problems. The gal who sat us said she would send a server over, one never came. I went and talked to the bartender and explained the situation and he assured me he would get us a server. After half an hour of being totally ignored, we left! We went to the restaurant explained the situation again and asked them if we could get waited on, YES! We had a lovely young lady, Sarah, who took care of us. The next day , on our way to the play, we had almost the same situation. The gal took our order and then disappeared! She didn’t deliver our food, she didn’t check on us, and we couldn’t find her to get our bill! We explained to a different waitress that we wanted our bill so we could pay and get to our play. She was finally able to find our slip and took care of us. Thank you! The hotel itself is beautiful and clean and the staff is super. We endured a lot of frustration in our dealings with the bar/ restaurant. Sarah was an excellent waitress and I am sorry I didn’t get the name of the gal who helped us out on Sunday.
