Nice place for weekend stay to visit friends, not a beach hotel, staff was phenomenal and attentive, room was nice, door was terrible, had to slam shut and yank open, only, bad part of otherwise pleasant stay.
Over priced rooms. I hope renovations will continue. Current rooms are dated, a bit dingy. Shower pressure is good. Toilet-plumbing is old, weak flush. Check in staff could offer more information upon checking in: pool info, whether breakfast is offered, etc.
The pictures of this place (and the cost $$$) would have you to believe that you are going to have an upscale experience (at a minimum a really nice experience). However, do not be fooled, this place is essentially an upscale Motel 6. The rooms were spartan, crappy, and clearly very dated. We were both taken aback at just how bad the room was. We had friends also staying at the property and they confirmed our room was the norm, not the exception. The A/C barely worked, blowing out semi cool air, which was not sufficient for the 90 degree weather outside. I couldn't believe I'd paid 250/260 USD per night for what was essentially slightly better than a motel 6. I would strongly advise staying away from this place.
The place is mid renovation. Staff is terrible no one is ever at the front desk. They will wake you up early by doing construction right outside your room. Place renovated poorly. Itâs not a hotel itâs a motel
Comfortable, small room with two double beds for us and our son. The pool and terrace area looked really nice, though we didn't have time to use it. The staff was taking good care of a duck that was nesting in a flower box outside our door - an unexpected and pleasant bonus. The lobby and on-site event facilities looked very nice. It suited our purposes very well, at a good price considering it was the start of the beach season.
We had a room with two double beds. My wife got into one of the beds and it was wet and we discovered it was urine! Disgusting! We told the front desk and nobody did anything about it! Iâm sure this place was very nice at one time but itâs terrible right now! Stay away!
Our room was an English Basement type of room with an outside motel-like entrance. It was very poorly lit (two lights out), the bathroom was remodeled but quite small. There was evidence of recent remodeling both inside the room and on the grounds but much of it only partly completed and stopped abruptly. Had the room rate been half of what it was it might feel like a deal but that wasnât the case. Very disappointed. On the other hand it wasnât too far from the beach and Spring Lake was fantastic.
In a word - TERRIBLE. The lobby was nice, but that was it. The property was not in great shape. The rooms were old and musty. The pool was dirty and murky. Completely unusable. That was one of the reasons we booked here. No pool bar as advertised-not that we could spend time at the filthy pool anyway.
The pictures make it look wonderful, but itâs not. We wasted $700 for two nights at this awful place.
Online, this seemed like a great place to stay. On-site, different story. Checking in was delayed a hour because room was not ready, room was unkept and bed was extremely uncomfortable. (Dipped in the middle).
I actually did not stay once I got to the room...demanded a refund that better happen or our corporate offices will be contacting the legal team.
First room was dirty and musty smelling.
Second room 2 visitors of the creature kind...had to leave was in complete tears and take and UBER which cost me 100 to get back to where I was staying prior to my business trip.
There was extremely loud music from a graduation party that filled the whole hotel.
Very disappointed with this pick!
