I am writing a review to NOT stay there. We contacted the host during our stay and still have not heard back. The weeds have not been pulled all summer, the neighborhood is unsafe, the floor is sealed with packing tape by the front door and shower where floor is caving in. The carpets are disgusting in the bedrooms. Multiple lights donât work. Coffee pot was broken. The icemaker was also broken. The master bedroom are sheers vs curtains. There is a shed in the backyard with an open door which made us nervous. I rented this for friends, weâre older and I was embarrassed to have selected this and we felt unsafe!
The beds were very comfortable Location was close to our downtown activities Kitchen supplies were slim no wine glasses available and very little drinking glasses The bath had no wash cloths available Landscaping and lawn was extremely overgrown But the house inside was nice
I Loved the matress! No memory foam nonsense or something worn out 20 years ago. I nearly wish that matress was on my bed at home. Otherwise the stay was great. Not the best neighborhood in the world however we had no problems. The location was good for our needs. I would be happy to.stay here if I have.another overnight in Springfield.
The most important to me in a stay, the mattresses were very comfortable. The couch was not at all comfortable, and overall the house was very bare. No extra toilet paper, very little in the kitchen to cook with. Neighbors are pretty sketchy but never bothered us, just had several loud fights. Host was good to work with, quick to help us with missing towels and the overgrown yard.
Good kitchen, dining and living room (appliances, furniture and flooring) and ease of access to WiFi and garage. The living room, bedroom and kitchen walls need a paint refreash. Nice progress on landscaping, but mowing the grass will help. Also, sheer curtains and no blinds in the master, near an active highway, was "fixed" with a blanket over tge cutain rod.the curtain rod.
The place was clean, but the couch was so uncomfortable, we watched tv from the dining room chairs. The beds were as hard as a rock. There was no body wash, so we borrowed some from my sister, and the carpeting was very stained. The trains going by at night, felt like they were right by the bedroom window. We left a day earlier to go home. I thought it was a little high priced .
Lots of things need to be fixed around the house. The house could have been cleaner. There were stains on the walls. Couch was uncomfortable but beds were okay. There were only two towels and wash cloths left for a group of 4. We just went and bought our own.
We had a nice stay. The kitchen appliances were in great condition but there were NO extras. We would have had to buy all spices, oils, even baking trays etc.. if we wanted to cook there. That is my only complaint, as we like to save money and not have to eat out. The kitchen would have been lovely to use if there were just some basic supplies and cookware. Otherwise, the stay was nice the house was clean and we appreciated the use of a house instead of having to get a hotel room for our stay.
The cutest little house! We loved the garage so we didn't have to be out in the -4 weather to get into the car. Complimentary coffee was a huge plus. We loved that there was a highchar for our 18 month old! The beds are on the harder side and the comforters are paper thin, I would suggest bringing extra blankets. There were only small thin throws as extra. We would definitely stay here again as long as we brought our own comforters so we could be warm!
Major snowstorm hit the area on our arrival day. I sent a message to the host (hours before check-in) asking if they had plans for snow removal. No response.Upon arrival there was at least 6 inches of snow, couldn't tell how to access the entry door. Called the # the host left & after leaving a message I receive a text. I was told to go in the back yard to enter. But there was no way to access a back door. The yard has a locked fence. Finally figure out which door but was given the wrong code. Upon entry the house had a terrible moldy smell. The carpet in the dining room and master bedroom were SOAKED. Had to keep slippers or shoes on the entire stay. The ceiling fans had layers of dust, the floors by both doors were taped to hold it together, the windows were covered in moisture and mold. Between the mold smell and dust my allergies were off the chart. Had to leave the property to find a drug store, allergy meds, room spray and a candle. Then a stop to find a shovel so we didn't get stuck in the driveway. The only good thing about all the snow was it covered all the mess in the backyard. Overgrown, neglected & filled with debris. Terrible host, unsanitary house. Unsafe tripping hazards (carpets curled up at the edges). If we weren't under a winter travel ban I would've packed up left. 2 day stay 2 days to long. I've been in real estate, including property management, for over 25 years. This place would NEVER pass an inspection with the health/safety issues
Thr inside was neet and beds and rooms updated. Many repairs needed to be made. No batteries in smoke alarms, not much dishes. Not enough towels. No answer from property when I made a simple request
The ease of check-in, the comfortable beds, and a dog-friendly environment are A+. There were VERY FEW glasses or plates available, no napkins or paper towels, and we were one bath towel short for the six of us staying there. I would suggest the owners get rid of the carpeting in the bedrooms because they were very stained and as a pet-friendly home they may want hard surface flooring.
Home was nice and clean. Host responds quickly. For fur parents thereâs not many places to walk your dogs but there are dog parks near by. The back yard is large and secure enough for dogs to roam. The grass wasnât mowed in the back other than that no other issues.
The home was exactly as advertised. We were comfortable there and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was peaceful and easy to find. It was perfect for our group for a quick overnight stay for an important family event we attended nearby.
This was the perfect space for our sibling reunion. The three of us had our own bedrooms and there are two connected bathrooms with a shared shower. We appreciated the smart TV for sharing family photos for a slide show using AirPlay and watching a movie on the Disney App. The carpeting and some of the furniture could use updating, but we found the house charming and comfortable for our reunion. The house is on a nice side street that feels like a safe, residential area, but be careful if you venture out. We ran to a Dollar Tree store .5 mile away to pick up some wine glasses and found ourselves in a pretty sketchy neighborhood. We headed .5 mile in another direction to pick up pizza and it was a very nice, safe neighborhood, so like most urban locations, being aware of the surrounding area is a good idea. It was great being so close to downtown for hitting the Lincoln Museum and we had a nice meal at Obed & Issac's Microbrewery while down there. We had great communication with our host and checking in was a breeze.
The rental was affordable when shared between 3 couples. It did provide three spearate bedrooms with two different bathrolms. Using the door code was easy and parking in the one car garage my our car feel safe. Kitchen was very clean. Areas of improvement would be: 1. The yard is unkempt. Overgrow weeds and umowed. 2. The carpet in our bedroom is stained, rough, and unwelcoming to walk on. 3. Not to be stuck up, but a few complementary bottles of water in the fridge would have really improved our overall experience.
The inclusion of a Keurig was really nice. Two of the smoke detectors do not visibly have 9 volt batteries inside theme. Maybe they are hardwired to a power source
safe
My family (3 year old and 18 month old) and husband were visiting family. This place was perfect for us. Only down side was kitchen supplies. I made my bother in law a cake and the lack of mixing bowls made it a little challenging. But other than that it was a great stay and will definitely consider staying there again.
