Stay somewhere else!

Terrible experience for myself and about 10 co-workers. I didnt not know they were also staying from a conference until we started talking about our stays. I attempted check-in at 3:30pm and my room was not cleaned/ready. Waited about 10 mins and got the room. Bathroom was dirty- mirror, hair on toilet, skicky floor. Rest of room looked mostly clean. I booked a 2nd room for 2 co-workers, they arrived at 7:30pm, was told their room was also not ready, and they sat in the lobby with a dozen other people being told the same thing. Hotel clerk/manager said they were short staffed, no housekeepers. I finally asked for a refund for the 2nd room, told them to stay elsewhere. Was given an email address to contact regards refund. Have not heard anything back. Ruined my experience staying at any Wyndham hotel. This one should be closed down if they want to salvage their reputation. Stories of how the other rooms looked are frightening. Stay somewhere else!

AmericInn St. Cloud

The young lady “Katie” who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, up to date, and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. I would wake up and get bacon, sausage, and cheese omelets for breakfast. I was there for work and this place was my home away from home. I am very pleased with my stay.

Don’t stay here!

I registered for a handicapped assist room. Didn't get it. We stood for 25 minutes at the front desk. The girl didn't seem to understand her job. I said twice this is a handicapped room and she said it should be. What!!!! We got in our room and my husband was exhausted and crawled in the bed. Then I went in the bathroom. No not accessible. Didn't ask to change rooms cause we had all ready used the room. I am handicapped and I had to stand at the sink to wash my hair and body. It was horrible. The breakfast was horrible. The bacon was so thinly sliced you could hardly taste it. Bread was dried out. Hard to get silverware out of plastic. We wondered what those rectangular chunks were. My sheets felt like they were wet! The bulb fell off the light fixture and hit me in the hand. The toilet was so low even if you weren't handicapped it was so low.

Not a good stay!

Would NOT stay here again. First, the person at the desk was very grumpy! Next, there was no room service. When asked, were told to "make your own beds" and "if you want fresh towels, just come downstairs and get them from the desk". Also, although the shower was nice, the shampoo/soap dispensers did not work...leaving one with water only. Lastly, the fire alarms all went off at 6a.m. and rang for at least 45 minutes! No fire.....just LOUD alarms everywhere and no explanation once turned off. Terrible start to the day! The best thing about the hotel was easy parking and comfy bed.

Disapointing

My check-in at the hotel gave me a feeling that I was at a decent hotel - my experience there was less than expected. The room started off as good and the free breakfast was decent - but not having my room cleaned for 2 days was not acceptable. I was told - Nothing could be done the first day this happened and I was given towels and told this would be resolved! the following day after leaving for the day and returning to my room - I once again found that my room had Not been Cleaned. I went to the front desk and was told that my room should have been cleaned but the cleaning staff had already left and there was nothing that could be done. I informed the front desk on my Extreme Disappointment and that this NEEDED TO BE RESOLVED - She phoned the manager and 2 hours later my room had been serviced. I had also asked why the smoke detector was covered in plastic and I was told it shouldn't be and nothing was done about it. I had also asked when the elevator would be fixed for the second floor and received no answer.

Rooms were not ready at the 3:00 checkin time. Assigned a room that wasn’t cleaned. Asked for a refund from the property manager and they denied it. After arguing for my refund the manager canceled my reservation without refund. I’ll be contacting Expedia for my refund

Broken elevator and unclean/poor maintenance

The elevator didn’t work so had to carry luggage up the stairs which was difficult. Bathroom drained very slow so ended up standing in a puddle of water when showering. There was a long dark hair in the tub which was not ours which was absolutely disgusting. We both have very short hair so know it wasn’t ours. We will not be staying at Americinn’s again as we have determined that they obviously no longer care about the customer experience. Very disappointed in the experience, especially for what they charge.

Our room was the first room right when you walk in on 1st floor. We heard a thump every other second all night long. I am not sure if it was a washer or dryer or something but it was annoying. I am sure if we were in a different room it would have been fine.
