The house was nice. The pool nice and clean. Easy access to the beach. The A/C worked great. The WI-FI only worked about 25% of the time. The furniture needs to be updated- especially the mattresses and kitchen appliances. Also, guests need to know that the main floor is the 3rd floor. . . lots and lots of steps! The neighborhood was awesome however the house is very far from the gate and island restaurants.
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was really close to the beach access. The pool was nice also. The only issue was the WiFi didnât have good signal in the bedrooms, but other than that it was a great week. We would definitely stay again at this house.
This house is in an ideal location with great beach access. The inside is spacious and provides all the amenities to make for an awesome family vacation.
This house is in a great location - it is a very quick walk to the beach! The rental company was also easy to communicate with. The only downsides were the beds were not very comfortable, and the WIFI did not work well on the second floor where the bedrooms are.Overall, we would stay here again!
The location was great.
It was a great space for two.
I would have preferred a secure WiFi vs. the open channel. Did not want to do any banking or sensitive data emails.
That said we would book this property again.
We stay on St Georgia Island every year for the seafood festival from a Friday to a Monday usually I only stay there from a Friday to a Sunday the location was very far and it was a long drive in town I don't think I can stay on the plantation anymore
Let me preface by saying my comments by saying I own a rental property in north Georgia mountains so I can look at this from both sides as a renter and someone who rents their property. We booked this property in March and unfortunately there were no reviews (red flags). Ok, maybe a new property to the site.
Pros:
Quiet, nice low traffic area of island
Close beach access
Pool
Deck has ocean views
Cons:
If they put some nominal money into this place they could garner repeat renters and probably charge more. Specifically, the 3 things that need the most details are:
1) Beds-really really bad. Big sags in mattresses. Probably havenât been replaced in 15 + years. Nothing leaves a bad taste in a renters mouth than a horrible night sleep while on vacation. Please spend the 1-2K to do this.
2) carpeting in bedrooms (just gross and dirty). I walked in shoes at all times. Could replace easily with tile.
3) sofas in living room. Cloth and stained. We throw blankets atop it but honestly, buy something off a marketplace.
The home could use other updating but this isnât a deal breaker. Dirty sofas /carpet and horrible beds are a deal breaker. We came home a night early as we wanted to sleep.

Iâm not the one who usually post stuff like this but I am really disappointed in our stay. The house was filthy. Bottom of your feet would be black from Walking around on top floor. The couches are stained up badly. The master shower has a lot of black mold. Most of the blinds are broke. Ac on bedroom floor wasnât blowing cold. Was told AC company would come out to look at it never showed The filter was covered in dust, when I took it out it finally started working. Couldnât get a air flow
House needs attention. Mold in MR bedroom shower ceiling. ( Bad) Blinds in the house were broken. House smelled musty when we arrived. Iâve used VRBO many times and this was disappointing.
