Great customer service at check in. This staff knows how to communicate and treat a guest. Clear explanations on the amenities, etc. Great breakfast, and the 3:00 pm fresh popcorn is great. 5:30 to 7:00 they provide complimentary beer and wine, as well as a few snacks, such as chips. They have a soda fountain which is available all day long. So wonderful for when I needed a quick sip of bubbly but DID NOT want a bottle, can, etc. Brilliant benefit!! Snack shop for purchase had a great variety of snacks. Not over done but the perfect amount to get a person through. Due to my work schedule, I sometimes needed something to eat when I arrived back at the hotel late. They carried a personal cheese pizza that was enjoyable and made in the microwave. Also, the free parking was excellent. It's an old historic building but the ramps and parking was great. I felt safe on the parking floor and easy access to the hotel doors. Also, I received a package while staying. They made a note in my profile and was waiting for me at the front desk!

I just stayed three nights here for a convention. The hotel is very conveniently located to the America's Center (one block away). I found the hotel to be comfortable, like staying at your parents' or grandparents' home. It's a Drury property, and as such has that dark wood, traditional hotel look. None of that brightly-colored, smooth surface, stainless steel trendy but sterile feel most hotels seem to have today. While not modern in decor, it had all of the modern conveniences. My room was clean, spacious (except the bathroom), and comfortable. I had a city view room and was pleasantly surprised to walk in and see that I had a separate living room area. The bathroom had real lighting, enough to do my hair and makeup and plenty of really hot water. The staff at this location were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is the typical hotel buffet - scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, waffle maker. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. It was just...breakfast. All in all, I had a good stay at this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Hasn’t been updated for decades. Toilet backed up and all they could offer me was a plunger. One thin blanket for bed in January. We were very cold trying to fall asleep. Few eating options.

Check in was great, they gave us free parking. Because their hot tub was closed (permanently). 4th level parking, elevators were right there, up 1 level to our room, that was right by the pool and breakfast. Bonus, 530pm was 3 free bar drinks and snacks. Drury really tries to give the customers a quality stay. Rooms were dated, but yet elegant like staying in a rich downtown hotel. Hotel was very clean. ST. Louis Streets were "Crappy", not to far of a walk to the Arch, we did it 2 times in 1 day. Felt safe with a young family, but it was winter and a Sunday. I'll stay again.

I loved this place. It's like a hotel stuck in time, but in the best way possible. Rooms were clean and comfy, but the room arrangement, atrium, and pool area are just something you have to see to believe. A back "patio" with iron chairs and a table where everyone can people watch. Amazing. The breakfast is pretty good. Seriously, it's just great to see a place that isn't some soulless 2020 cookie cutter corporate shell of a hotel.

Really glad we stayed here and we would stay here again. All the staff went above and beyond. The free happy hour in the common area was nice. Liked have the double entry to the room (one to hallway and one to common area). Gym was small but nice. Parking garage on property was a bonus. Bed was comfortable. Walkable to multiple restaurants and bars in the area.

I booked this hotel because it was one of the only hotels in Downtown STL that had a hot tub and that was actually affordable. I was very disappointed on Night 2 when I went to the hot tub and it wasn’t working. I talked to a front desk lady the next morning (who was very nice about it) and I explained that I didn’t know the hot tub wasn’t working when I booked and the guy working the front desk when I checked in didn’t tell me either. If I would have known this, I would have booked a different hotel. Both front desk workers I interacted with were very nice at least. This hotel is getting dated and could use some remodeling in the next few years.
