We met family here for the weekend. This home was beautifully updated, the neighborhood was quiet, the beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for five adults and a toddler. Parking was easy beside the home or in front of it. We would definitely stay here again.
The house has multiple floors, each filled with light. There are places to gather as well a separate areas for quiet time. Excellent choice for a family gathering or extended vacation.
Thank you for trusting us with your home for a long weekend. It was perfect and your communication with us throughout the process was fantastic! We would stay here again!
Quiet neighborhood. Very spacious. Everything you need. Room for plenty of guests. Nice back yard. Furniture was comfortable and stylish. Communication with the host was quick and easy. Dumpster is in the back alley.
St. Louis is an amazing city for children and families so you want to be close to the park, science center, the Soulard, etc. This home brings you right into the CWE. A short walk to the shops down the street. The neighborhood felt safe and we took several walks down Pershing Avenue with our dog at sunset to look at the beautiful homes and vibe.
We were in St Louis with family.for my son's graduation. The house had plenty of space for everyone to be together and have time apart. Close to campus, and close to great dining and bike trails. Wonderful older neighborhood with other beautiful old homes.
If you stay on a Saturday, check out Tower Grove Park's farmer's market.
Straubs is a close location for groceries.
Would definitely recommend for families.
First, Stacey was super accommodating with my last minute booking request when I realized I needed an extra day in the city. All of her messages were super clear and detailed and we didn't need to ask any questions. Next, the prdescribed /
I visited the Central West End of St Louis with a few friends/colleagues for a business retreat. This house was perfect! It had a great blend of a historical feeling with many modern touches. Check-in and out was easy, beds were very comfortable, house was spotless, and there is a lovely backyard and upper balcony. It was a perfect retreat spot with several areas for us to work and gather for discussions. It would be very comfortable and perfect for a family as well. Perfect location with easy access to a bookstore, Jenniâs ice cream, coffee and breakfast, as well as restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!!
After one day a tornado came through Saint Louis. Power was knocked out at the house so we had to move out and pay for a hotel. Trees downed in the yard and roads closes due to trees and power lines down. Even though VRBO has a policy that expressly mentions tornados as an unexpected contingency I was told by VRBO that we cannot get a refund for the unused nights. Copy of the response below.
Weather related conditions are preventing me from giving a 5/5 review. The front steps, which are steep, were completely covered in ice. Luckily there was an alternative entrance however I struggled with the front steps for a while because I wasnât aware of that entrance until reaching out to the property owners.( Thankfully the property owners were excellent and quick communicators!) At night, the wind was causing some door or window to bang loudly all night. The first night it was terrifying, the next few nights it just obnoxious. On the final night we could not get the house warm whatsoever. The temperature was around 10 degrees outside and with all the windows and patios the house was freezing. Despite these things I would absolutely recommend and book again! This is just an honest and transparent review of my stay. I debated posted this because everything else was a 10/10.
