We stayed at Bradâs place for Spring Break, having never been to Saint Simonâs Island before, and itâs a nice spot. It was very clean, well-laid out, and the beds were quite comfortable. It was also nicely equipped in terms of kitchen supplies, which came in handy.
We were please by lots of good dining options on the island - Porch, Iguanaâs, Zuzuâs, and Salâs Pizza - and we had a great time exploring Fort Frederica, fishing, and playing some disc golf, which was close by. The beach is also very nice on the island. The putt-putt place had very inconsistent hours, so we never got to play there. Iâd also recommend going over to Jekyll Island for a day - the Driftwood Beach was absolutely incredible to see.
The only knock on the property is its location - it backs onto a sporadically noisy road that made it hard to sleep when we opened the windows to try to cool off, and itâs also right at the entrance to the island so removed from the main locations with restaurants, shops and the beach. That said, it is priced accordingly as compared to the other properties for rent - definitely less expensive, which made the vacation doable for us.
Overall, itâs a nice condo, and Brad was very easy to deal with. Responsive and helpful.
