The beauty of this house was marred by several factors. I saw cockroaches in the kitchen and the hallway. There was a leak in the master bedroom ceiling, causing water on the carpet, on the bed and through to the bed sheets. Sleeping on a wet bed is not much fun. The faucets in the showers need replacement. The main floor master suite needs an additional door to the bathroom; if someone is showering and the main door to the master is slightly open, one can see the person taking a shower from the hallway. First three days, we had hot water in the toilet tank (yes, the toilet tank!), hot enough to cause the toilet seat to be hot. For a five-bedroom house, the water heater is insufficient. The kitchen floor needs a thorough scrubbing; too many scuff marks.

We loved the location of Vessup View. While we did not feel it was really practical to walk to the beaches or restaurants due to the tight roads, it was just a quick 5 minute drive to Red Hook and the absolutely gorgeous Secret Harbor Beach. We had 8 people, and it could definitely sleep 10-11 comfortably. We were also just minutes from the ferry to St. John. The kitchen was stocked well, and we had everything we needed to cook. The Food Center grocery store was just a quick 10 minute drive and it was the most organized store I have ever seen. Loved our stay!

Property was better than the description!

It’s very rare to stay at a property that is even better than described. A property where the pictures underestimate the beauty and comfort of a property. This was On my way! Of those occasions. This was a beautiful property. The customer service was ad good as the property itself! Can’t wait to go back!!

Great location!

My husband and I took our daughter and her family of 6 kids for 6 days. The location is great as you are close to Red Hook, Sapphire Beach, and Megans Bay.The twin bed as listed in the description is actually a leather fold down futon type couch. This may not matter if you don't need that bed but i wouldn't count on it unless it is for a younger child. The only other concern was the water temperature in the showers. One of the three showers had plenty of warm water. The other 2 were cool. I'm not sure if this can be addressed or not.The host was extremely communicative and helpful. There were sand chairs etc at the house for our use at the beaches. Overall, this was a great experience. The pool was not as large as it appears in the photos but it was perfect for our group. The pool guy showed up to clean it mid week and we used it a lot!The kitchen was well stocked with appliances. All bathrooms were stocked as well. We had a great time during our stay.

Nice Home- but fell short in a few ways

The house was very clean! And the views were very beautiful! The listing wasn’t completely accurate with the 11th person. The extra twin bed is actually a futon in the downstairs master suite. The hot water in 2 out of the 3 showers was pretty much non existent. This was a big problem
 trying to convince small kids to take a luke warm shower was a pain point each night. Also the water in the kitchen never really got hot either. The pool was great. And the location was ideal. Having 2 washer/dryers was also a huge plus! The only reason I didn’t do 5 stars was the hot water situation. This needs to be fixed.

This home is amazing, we felt like we spent a week living like the rich and famous! From the teenagers to the grandparent, it was everyone’s favorite vacation yet. No complaints, the house, pool, driveway and yard were clean and well kept. The view was stunning. The property managers were great and easy to get ahold of. They responded immediately when we had issues getting hot water in a shower and strong enough AC in the main floor bedroom. We could walk 5 minutes to two different beaches, Turquoise Bay for swimming and Muller Bay for snorkeling. We were a 3 minute drive from Secret Harbor where there is swimming, snorkeling and a good beachside restaurant. We were a 5 minute drive from Red Hook where you could eat, grocery shop, catch the ferry to the amazing beaches on St John (swam with turtles at Maho Bay and enjoyed the soft sand and crashing waves of Hawksnest Beach and floated and swam all day and did the best snorkeling and beach walking at the famed Trunk Bay-don’t take your car over, parking is extremely hard to come by, take the people ferry and hop effortlessly onto the open air buses at the ferry terminal - restaurants at Maho and Trunk are both great. No need to pack food or drinks - bar at Trunk has amazing frozen fruit and rum drinks). Went twice to our fav beach on St Thomas, Sapphire Beach, a 10 minute drive with free parking, beachside restaurant and bar and volleyball. You cannot go wrong with this house, I so miss my morning Pilates view, hope to return!

Great house for a group!

The house is great for a group wanting space to spread out. Neighborhood seemed nice enough, roads on the island are small & not great for walking so a rental car is helpful. AC units in all of the bedrooms which was great. We did find the hot water was not consistent so we took many cold showers. They have beach chairs for you to take when you venture to many of the beaches, however they didn’t have much for other pool/beach equipment. Only a few beach towels. Pool is large enough for a few people to play or hang out. Kitchen is well equipped for all your cooking needs. 2 washers & 2 dryers which is nice with a large group.

Exceptional Host and Prime Beachside Location

Our host was outstanding, offering constant communication throughout our booking and stay. Extremely responsive, they came through with an iron when we needed it. The host personally greeted us, giving a thorough walk-through of the gorgeous property. It’s ideally located just a short walk from the beach, boasting a fantastic pool. Highly recommended for a memorable beach getaway!

Family fun in the sun

The property was amazing. It had everything we needed and the location was great. We traveled with a group of 11 age range 55 to 15 and all had a wonderful time. Only issue the place really sleeps 10 comfortably versus 11, but that did not stop the fun. Management was responsive to every issue. Couldn’t ask for a better time.
