Great Property

We had a great experience at the home. Fergus is a friendly and attentive host, the location is great for skiing and going to town and the home is very cozy. The kitchen is tight quarters, but the rest of the house is very spacious and well appointed.

Welcoming house for our family gathering

We loved staying in the house. We had a lot of room to spread out. The house accommodated our family of 11. Fergus helped us with whatever we needed and was very kind. We had a blast and I would highly recommend this house to anyone.

Steamboat

Fergus and Catie were fantastic hosts. They promptly responded to any requests. This is our second stay at the chalet and the property continues to impress. Great views combined with proximity to the mountain makes it an ideal spot. There is even a sledding hill in the back. Would recommend without reservations.

Perfect ski home - highly recommend!!

I stayed at Fergus & Catie’s with a larger group of friends for a ski trip and it was wonderful. The home is beautiful and has everything you could want/need. The hosts were excellent as well - great communication throughout. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Steamboat!

Ski trip

Place was beautiful, looked even better than the pictures. Close to everything you need, entertainment, food and relaxation! Owners were very accommodating and friendly! We had a couple of needs, and they (owners) were able to accommodate us. I would recommend this rental to anyone. The house overlooks the town, and we drank coffee each morning with stunning views of Steamboat!

Spectacular views from this fabulous home!

Our family of 9 including 2 kids just returned from our most fabulous trip to Steamboat and our stay at The Magical Chalet. Everything was simply wonderful! The house was large, very well appointed, and accommodated us all so well. We loved the game room and views from every room!! This home was located very close to everything we needed, shopping and skiing, and sightseeing. Our hosts, Fergus and Catie were so gracious, making sure we had everything we needed. We had every essential we needed already stocked, the kitchen was great for our cooking and that hot tub was fabulous!! We especially loved that the driveway was heated (snowed every day we were there) so our getting in and out was no problem at all. We had a wonderful time and certainly encourage anyone planning a trip to Steamboat with a large family to book your stay at this magical Chalet. It really is like vacationing in a "magical snow globe". Thanks Fergus & Catie. The Holwells and Hornsbys 12/26/22-1/1/2023

Stay in Steamboat

Fergus & Catie were wonderful hosts sharing their home with our family in for a visit on the 4th. The property was clean and a fantastic location with tons of things to do at the property and easy access to the mountain and town. Parking was convenient and adequate to accommodate 3 SUVs which can be a trick in Steamboat! We happily rate this as a 5 Star location & experience.

Amazing place

We had just an amazing time at this property! We had both adults and kids in our crew, who had separate hang out areas, which was really nice. Close to the slopes and just a lovely place to be. Hosts were very helpful and went out of their way to help us and make sure we had a great stay.

February Ski Trip

The property was beautiful and a fairly close drive to the mountain. As the owners of the unit we stayed in lived right next door in an attached unit they were able to pop in and visit us during our stay which enabled them to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. We had a great trip.

Fantastic Steamboat Ski Vacation

Party of 12 - mostly skiers but 3 non-skiers too that loved the views and hot tub! All owner recommendations were excellent! Loved our stay! Beds, towels, everything very nice

Great place for Family and Friends!

We took a fall trip with family and friends. Catie and Fergus were very hospitable! We enjoyed the views over the valley, the hot tub, and the separate sections of the house for the kids and adults to spread out. They were also nice enough to let our kids use the trampoline! Overall, we had a great trip!

Beautiful property

Pretty spectacular setting and a large house. We enjoyed the hot tub, the decks, and spreading out in the many areas of the house. Seeing the neighborhood wildlife was a huge plus. House is a connected townhome, but still with significant privacy. Would definitely stay here again.

Steamboat Stay

Furgus and Catie were excellent hosts. The house was beautiful and met all our needs. It was an easy walk to the gondola. The kids enjoyed playing in snow in the backyard and even did some sledding in the backyard. Easy and convenient to everything Steamboat has to offer.

Lovely and large mountain duplex home. Great views throughout the house, nice kitchen for cooking meals and many rooms/sleeping options. Fergus was amazing and ensured we were well informed and supported as needed. Great place!

Beautiful property, walk-able distance to the ski resort

We loved the property. Super clean and the hosts were very prompt and responsive. Easily accommodates 3 families and maybe even one more. Cannot beat the view from the kitchen / balcony overlooking the town below and mountains in the background. We plan to return Steamboat and stay at this property again.

Great Stay

Our family of four stayed for a week during ski season and loved the property. We had WAY more than enough room and everything was very clean and in working order. The home was well stocked with thick toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, etc. which is such a nice touch. We have stayed at many VRBO properties that only provide a "starter" to last 1-2 days. Plenty of quality linens were also available. Beds were comfortable and loved having humidifiers in the bedrooms if needed. A negative (for us at least) was that the master has no bathroom door to separate it from the bedroom so if one goes to bed early, when the other comes in to brush teeth, etc. the lights shine directly onto the bed. The water closet has an opaque glass door, which provided only minimal privacy - not enough for us personally. The kitchen appeared to be well stocked, though we only used it to prepare quick breakfasts. Many pantry staples were provided and the owners also left us a welcome bottle of wine! We enjoyed the streaming tv and used the hot tub nearly every day. The ability to park in the garage was also wonderful. The location is convenient & only a few minutes from skiing or town. We utilized the free parking lot which was only a couple of minutes away & rode the free shuttle to the base daily. We had no trouble parking downtown when we went in for dinners. The owners were great and came over to make sure everything was to our liking. They are right next door should anything arise! They were quick to offer suggestions & answer questions - even loaning us snow chains one day! Overall, we all had a wonderful stay with Fergus & Catie and would not hesitate to recommend this property. It was great!

Chalet did not disappoint!!!

My extended family spent a week in Steamboat! The Magical Chalet was awesome! The multilevel home with great views was an awesome find to ring in 2020! Fergus was an awesome host! Intimate Wedding in the mountains.
