Location to the mountain was good, little bit of a hike on the way out but if you get good snow you can ski right to the door on the way back.
Kitchen was small, but had decent pots pans, etc. getting extra towels was easy. The laundry is in the common area and you have to pay for it. The Hot tub was nice.
First off, I want to say that the listing says air conditioning, this unit does NOT have air conditioning. I always book a location with air conditioning and it was particularly important this time since we had 5 kids under 5 and little kids can't sleep when they're overheated. Well it was over 80 in the condo at all times the whole time we were there. I contacted the management company and they sent someone up but nothing resulted. There IS a stand alone room air conditioner in the bunk room but that's it. We used all the box fans but it was still blazing hot. No one really slept which made for a rough vacation with 6 kids in 2 families. The pans are scratched beyond what is acceptable. I realize it is a rental property but we couldn't use any of them because the non-stick was flaking off. Also this is just a small note, trying to give kids a bath with that door track is brutal. So if you will need to bathe your children a lot while staying here, just know you should roll a towel and place it over the track. Parking spots are TIGHT, so if you have a big car or truck you may need to park outside. The porches were very dirty, the bottom one was covered in a layer of dirt, they should really sweep that. It would also be a good idea to include a baby gate for the stairs. With 3 bedrooms and a ton of beds, it's likely that families will want to rent and a baby gate would've been very nice to have.
For the pros: the location is fabulous, the condo layout is great, the furnishings are nice and it was a perfect size for our crew. Steamboat is amazing in summer and winter and absolutely a worthwhile trip for everyone, especially families. When we were at the resort we had a blast. The town was spectacular as well. I think if the condo had air conditioning I would be leaving with a much better taste in my mouth.
Our first trip to Steamboat in the Summer and it was awesome! Lots to do in the area. ATV riding was on our list and had a great time riding in the mountains!
