Really lovely accommodation. Staff were very friendly and helpful and made sure check in and out was easy.
We went to the pub for food and it was excellent - great menu and well cooked and presented. Staff were really helpful again
Lovely area for a walk or trip to the vineyard
Excellent stay, lovely room! Staff we’re second to non, renovation work being done currently but the Pub and rooms worked seamlessly. Great price on the rooms and 11am checkout allowed for a peaceful morning!
Les points forts : Confort de la chambre et communication
I stayed downstairs in The Stables and it was a beautiful space. The stone walls were lovely, lots of character. Could do with a little TLC (crack sealant to sort the avoidable road noise etc) and a deep clean but overall had everything I needed and I enjoyed my stay. Internet connection a bit temperamental but Old Fleece pub team next door were absolutely fantastic.
Spacious, clean, and decorated very nicely. We were provided with detailed directions ahead of time about where to park and check in. Amazing service and the coach house was gorgeous!
Room was quite superior! Staff accommodating and friendly. Fleece Inn pub was delightful and great food. Bed was very comfortable. Mini-fridge and microwave nice. Struggled with the expresso machine.
Check-in was early, which I appreciated. However, the room fell well below expectations: it had no window, a damp smell, no hot water, and felt very run-down. It also didn’t feel clean, and there were no hooks in the bathroom for towels. Overall, I would not recommend the Stables.
Everything went perfectly for us. We collected our keys from a very helpful gentleman at the bar in The Old Fleece next door and enjoyed a pint in the sunshine before being shown down to The Stable.
The room was very clean and tidy and apart from the rather imposing tv was very much to our taste.
Highly recommended
What a fabulous find a tennis ball throw from where I grew up in the shadow of Rodborough Common. Fabulous conversion with a perfect little kitchen and lounge to relax and entertain. Upstairs, two big rooms, beautifully furnished with one huge bed, TVs almost as big as Dead Man’s Acre on Selsley Common and power showers. Part of the pub grounds and some great draft beers on offer alongside a fabulous Sunday menu. Very happy indeed.
Enjoyed our stay, there was a shortage of cutlery in the apartment.
The noise from the bedroom upstairs in the other apartment was very loud, every time they move around you can hear them clearly which woke us a few times in the night.
Accommodation was adequate for our needs and linen/towels provided were good quality and clean, but the property itself was very dusty and would have benefitted from a good spring clean. The kitchenette facilities were very minimal so if planning on cooking you will need to equip yourself including cutlery/utensils as not much provided. Host was responsive and pub next door very helpful but no discount on food was given as advertised.
We stayed in the Stable for one night with 2 large dogs. There was plenty of room for their crate to be put up and the accommodation was perfect for our needs. One of our dogs was recovering from an operation and cannot do stairs so we were unable to use the garden however the staff were very helpful at providing local alternatives. We ate at The Old Fleece next door and the food was tremendous.
The only down side was the bathroom door made a loud noise when opened but we just left it open as there was only us staying there.
The apartment was a good size over 2 levels
The pub was quite nice. Usually you would be complaining about the place being too cold but in this case it was too hot we had to open windows and put a fan on (winter stay ) it would be nice to have a thermostat
And proper mattress that didn’t require a foam topper which made it less the comfortable.
Some more detailing of the grout glass cleaner for the shower and some stainless steel cleaner would elevate it to excellent.
A welcome pack would be nice eg some water, a few biscuits a tea towel to dry glasses etc
Wonderful stay. I had to cancel the last night of my stay, and although it was not refundable they provided me w credit for food/drinks in lieu at the old fleece when they were under no obligation to do so. Very accommodating, lovely studio room.
The coach house is an amazing place to stay. Even though it's on a busy road, it wasn't too noisy at night and view of the 'big"house from the windows is lovely. The 2 massive double bedrooms and bathrooms are superb. Large (the one in the largest room must be 6 foot wide) comfy beds and massive flat screen TVs in both rooms - which are gorgeously decorated with some really nice furniture and touches. Both rooms have their own lovely bathroom. Downstairs is a open plan sitting room and small kitchen, as well as another TV! Plus bonus - a pub next door! Wish we'd have been staying longer
We stayed in the stable with nice amenities but lack privacy somewhat due to immediate guests were only separated from us by one door (not sound proof). Lack of available toiletries (including toilet rolls) and no coffee pods for the new press o machine. We are sure if we ask for the supplies there will be available but we were expecting them to be more accessible. Overall pretty good aside from the small niggles as mentioned.
