We were actually in a section detached from the main hotel, A little inconvenient because it was raining and we had to go out in the rain to get to the fitness center. BUT it was a very quiet area, which was actually more important to us. Room and bathroom were very large. Floor didn't look dirty but when we wiped up some spilled water there was a lot of dirt on it. Cabinet in bathroom needed to be resanded and stained. But overall very nice.

The staff were friendly and very helpful especially the manager Henry who accommodated our change of room. The beds were comfortable and the room spacious. The property was tastefully decorated and cozy. The 2 pools and spa were just what we needed after a long day of driving. The Cracker Barrel adjacent to the property was a welcome short walk for dinner. The hot breakfast provided was plentiful.

Great location for visiting Old Sturbridge Village. I have stayed here a few times over the past decade or so. The staff has always been great, but the hotel itself needs a refresh. The halls look worn. Our room smelled like a locker room. In fairness, the staff offered a different room, but we had sprayed air freshener and were only staying one night.

Loved the lake view and how well maintained the property was. Bar hours of operation are based on occupancy which makes it hard for a night cap, but understandable being in a quiet area.
