I use this hotel for my trips to and from Maine to NJ. Always a good sleep, ease of access to highway and friendly staff. Clean rooms with comfortable beds.
The motel was nothing like the pictures. It is terribly rundown. Our door chain and blow dryer were broken. The paint on the walls was chipped, and the carpet was from the 70s. The furniture is old and banged up. The mattress was lumpy and the pillows had no substance to them. The bedspread was also old and dirty. We were terribly disappointed and felt like we had been handed a bait and switch.
The pictures online do not represent this place. Gave this 2 stars because staff were kind, otherwise it would be a 1 star. Cheap mattress that was hard and stiff, foul odor in room. Breakfast was minimal but okay. Would have looked for another hotel but we booked for a one night stay and didnât have the energy to try to find another place to stay.
We stayed here 2x, and we based our second stay on how great the prior time was. Second time we had a different room and the bed was just terrible. Lumpy and springs seemed to have met life expectancy. Other than that, the place is wonderful to stay in.
The Scottish inn is an older motel that is being renovated. The bathroom has a new look, but the rooms, although immaculate, were tired. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would not overlook this inn, as the location is good.
The place is outdated and tired. Beds uncomfortable. We stayed the the section behind the front section. Huge storage units with sketchy views. One building had all the furniture on the port wrapped in a blue tarp. Truly I questioned our safety and notified family where we were and room and if we did not check in with them by 9 am call the police and send them to do a welfare check!!! Never again!!
