Rented property for 04/05-04/08. We found out the place had not been cleaned from the previous renters. We contacted the manager, Stacey, and sent pictures. Stacey called and said it was her fault and she would have the cleaner come immediately but the cleaner lived about an hour away. She then put us on hold to talk to the cleaner. After being on hold for about 15 minutes Stacey came back on the call and said âthereâs been a break inâ with the most pathetic attempt for panic Iâve ever heard. Stacey said she would be calling the police and have them do a report. Stacey said someone has the door code and thereâs nothing she can do about it and people break in frequently and âmake themselves at home, but they never steal anything.â I asked Stacey what kind of people would break into a place then nicely pull the bed sheets off the edges like hotel cleaners do. There was some trash on the floor but it looked as if someone had stayed there, not been broken in. I told Stacey I was a police officer and I know what break ins look like and this is nothing like that. When I asked when the police officer would be arriving, Stacey then said she no longer was going to call the police. Stacey said she would buy us dinner. After about an hour the cleaner arrived. Long story short we could not cook the steaks and burgers we brought, as the grill had no propane and was very dirty with nothing to clean it with.
