Our stay was awesome here at the cabin. Connor was excellent to communicate with. I have 5 kids ages 14-2yr old. They enjoyed the air hockey table and the camp fire. Hiking trail just above the cabin that traverses the hill. Beautiful country. 30 min drive from Manning Park Resort, where we hiked, kayak, and enjoyed family time. Thanks for the stay!
Had a great time on a three day stay at the âWhiskey Jackâ cabin. Family of 5 enjoyed snowshoeing at Lightning Lake (30 min drive). We also revelled in the epic battles of pool and ping pong in the family room downstairs.
We enjoyed the cabin a lot.
It was clean, kids enjoyed the games room, kitchen was well equipped and communication with the management was very smooth. Wish there would be instructions on how to use the karaoke but overall it was a great place to stay!
Thank you!
The Whiskey Jack Cabin is by far the best cabin my friends and I have visited. The cabin offered a fantastic, fully stocked kitchen which is extremely important to our group. We enjoyed walking around the friendly and charming community while breathing the fresh and clean mountain air. We also enjoyed long hours at the fire pit and pool table and the entertainment centre was a real bonus. I highly recommend this place as your next outdoor getaway!
Family get away within couple of hours drive of the lower mainland
Great family retreat over the Easter weekend. Cabin is newer with needed amenities, and comfortable beds. Pool table and ping pong made for fun family competition. We made the drive to Manning for an afternoon of snowshoeing plus time at the Manning pool. Extra surprise was the community kids Easter Egg hunt on Sunday morning at the park-great fun for even really little ones. Excellent communication with the owner, clear instructions/expectations at the right times.
Great place up the hill in Sunshine Valley. The space is bright and clean, great kitchen for cooking and socializing. The games room downstairs was great for a little evening competiton on the ping pong table. The views of the mountains are incredible, lots of space and sleeps four easily. It was a pleasure to deal with Connor, I would definitely recommend this place.
The property had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Even when it got cold the heat worked quickly, which was nice for colder months. The bedrooms were all nice fairly similar for the three on the top floor. It was a little hard to find the place at night in the dark, but we managed eventually luckily we had the photos of the property to compare as we couldnât see any addresses. One suggestion would be for the check in directions received to say which way to turn onto the street the property is on as my google maps only has the location up to the street, not specific house. Would stay again!
The first thing we noticed is how extremely clean the house was. Recreation resources such as pool table, Ice hockey, Netflix, and Karaoke were a great addition that kept everyone engaged. Unfortunately, we couldnât use BBQ because itâs bear season around end of October so our neighbours advised us not to keep any food outside. Nevertheless, neighbours were very kind and welcoming. We had to utilize the kitchen instead. However, it had everything we needed to cook at home throughout the whole stay. We felt well-rested, really enjoyed our stay, and would love to come back.
The only issue I had was uncertainty around propane. To be advised 2 days prior that propane is not supplied and there was no guarantee there would be any left from the previous guests was a concern. Taking into account the general store indicates 4pm as a closing time with property check in also 4pm, there wouldn't be opportunity to get more if early check in isn't authorized. Additionally, supplying some firewood would be ideal since the location is relatively remote and guests may not have the ability to bring much if their vehicles are full. Other than that, good place and process.
