The owner and staff were great. It is an older building with great character but the bathroom was nice and modern.the premises were clean, the meals good and parking was easy.
A very pleasant looking hotel with a bar area that although cosy was a tad dated. We booked a small double room which should have actually read miniscule double. Compared to similar hotels in the area this was expensive at ÂŁ180 for two people for 2 nights so it would have been nice to have been allocated one of the other vacant larger rooms. The breakfasts were pretty dire unfortunately. No menu provided and instead we were asked what we would like for breakfast. Hmm...good question when there's no menu. So we were offered cereal. Who knows what was in the cupboard?? So we opted for an orange juice and an apple juice. Both concentrated variety. Then, the full English, which, was fair apart from some very cheap sausage, 1 and a half mushrooms and tinned tomatoes, not fresh. Coffee was excellent. The host who is very friendly was very chatty throughout our breakfast althought she was very nice.
A small comfortable Inn in a very pretty and quiet part of middle England.
The rooms were warm and comfortable and the bathrooms, were well equipped, despite their small size,
Bulls head is an old building and Becky and her team have done a great job making it welcoming. I will definaitely return... The food was fantastic dinner and breakfast.
The welcome and atmosphere is consistently good and the food - evening dinner and breakfast - excellent. The place is a little tired and I could not get the shower to provide constant water at the right temperature, but apart from that another very comfortable and pleasant stay.
Lovely little pub accommodation, the room was spacious and the bed comfy.
I would have liked an iron in the room, and a more powerful shower, as well as an earlier check in. The breakfast was lovely, as was the owner. A nice little place to stay.
The Bulls Head was a lovely place to stay warm friendly and they made you feel at home. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. I would definately stay again
Absolutely delightful. Breakfast is indeed exceptional, the room is very comfortable and has everything that we needed for a three-day weekend. Netflix an unexpected bonus after a good walk in the nice countryside on the doorstep. Dinner was also excellent plus the Bangladeshi restaurant in Swadlincote provided one of the best "Indian" dinners in a very long time. Location is quiet and safe and Becky and the Staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly.
